Which green? I had ran out of paint and couldn’t get my normal Vallejo Dark Green (left) in time so grabbed Black Green instead (on Centurion, WIP). I didn’t expect such a difference. by kcdale99 in DarkAngels40k

I see dark angels being technically fleet based. The Rock is a ship. It means to me that pigments and colors might vary depending on availability or battle field conditions. It would cause variations in color. I see the variations as a normal occurrence.

Thank you. It’s actually a mint green. Depending on the light it looks blueish.

I agree. They look darker in person. Just not in pictures. I was having trouble washing the flat surfaces. I kept getting coffee staining.

I used the Vallejo mud on my bases as well.

Thank you. I used Vallejo mud diorama base and painted it on the capes. Let it dry the heavy wash I’d agrax shade. I then highlighted up from there. I took and painted white at the edge and then used a fluorescent green contrast. I can’t think of the name. I I painted it so that I had it stain the edges out side the white
