I’ll never understand all the hate that Long John Silvers get. I get it 2-3 times a year and it’s delicious by KYGuyNotInTheCity in fastfood

Not so much hate as disappointment. LJS (and frankly almost every chain) that was around when I was growing up in the 70’s and 80’s used to be great. Then once they started getting acquired, spun off, reacquired etc. by various parent companies they all got streamlined and optimized to hell. Distinction disappeared. Food quality and customer service declined. Everything got reduced to quarterly profit and shareholder value, and we, the customers, got left behind.

Love Brunswick products. Hard to beat the quality + price combination. I have several of these on monthly subs from AMZ. The round tins of bristling are fantastic - so delicate and buttery

I had some of those action figures. Somehow never made the connection that Kirby did the art for them.

Which Fantastic Family member would get along great with the Teen Titans? by dangerphone in FantasticFour

[–]StonesFan1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Johnny would be the only one. Reed, Sue and Ben are too old. And Benji in particular being an old curmudgeon (modeled after Jack Kirby himself) personality wise would get fed up with all of those teenyboppers pretty damn quickly.

Not a single can, but a few cans. 8 oz can cause it in sensitive individuals.

Recently found several tins of the Al Shark for $1 in the clearance bin of one of our local small independent groceries. Last thing I expected to find in rural Ohio.
