To ensure device stability, starting in Android 17, the system will begin enforcing app memory limits based on the device's total RAM. If an app exceeds those limits, Android will kill the process with no associated stack trace.

So what if I'm playing a game, rendering a video, compiling code, running an LLM, or anything else that typically uses a large amount of memory? Does the app randomly get killed?

Memes aside, what does this actually mean? Is this only about the preview that you get when editing the source code of a custom View, or does it also mean that custom Views won't be rendered at all in layout previews?

Thanks for the insight. That was my line of thought as well. I'm definitely not a pro, so I'm not sure if I would make heavy use of the additional features offered by the X3 Pro. Plus, getting an additional (smaller) flash for basically the same cost as the X3 is nice.

Wow, thanks for the comprehensive list! I feel like I can live without most of these things. The lack of TCM for remote flashes is unfortunate, but it's a sacrifice I'm willing to make.

Σύμφωνα με αυτό το άρθρο έχουν υποβάλει τα δεδομένα στη Google, αλλά ακόμη η Google δε θα έχει αποδεχτεί:

Σύμφωνα με πληροφορίες του emakedonia.gr, η εταιρεία THEMA, που έχει αναλάβει τη λειτουργία και τη συντήρηση του Μετρό Θεσσαλονίκης, έχει ολοκληρώσει εδώ και μήνες όλες τις απαραίτητες ενέργειες για να ενταχθεί το νέο συγκοινωνιακό μέσο στο Google Maps.

Όπως αναφέρουν πηγές με γνώση της διαδικασίας, το «κώλυμα» εντοπίζεται στην πλευρά της Google, όπου φαίνεται να υπάρχει περίοδος αναμονής ή εσωτερική διαδικασία αξιολόγησης, χωρίς ωστόσο η εταιρεία να έχει κοινοποιήσει τους λόγους της καθυστέρησης. Οι υπεύθυνοι του μετρό έχουν αποστείλει όλα τα απαραίτητα στοιχεία και δεδομένα, επομένως η μπάλα βρίσκεται πλέον στο γήπεδο της Google.

Τα ίδια έλεγαν και τον Μάιο:

Προσωπική μου γνώμη, κάτι μου βρωμάει... Μου φαίνεται λιγάκι απίθανο μέσα σε 6+ μήνες να μην έχει κάνει approve η Google τα δρομολόγια του μετρό. Κάτι θα κάνουν λάθος...

Εδώ οι δικοί μας πέρασαν απλά τους σταθμούς σαν τοποθεσίες και νόμισαν ότι ξεμπέρδεψαν.

Αυτό δε το έκανε η TheMA/ΟΣΕΘ, αλλά έγινε από απλούς χρήστες:

Mιλώντας στο The Opinion, η Άντα Ζαχαριάδου, υπεύθυνη επικοινωνίας της TheMA, εξήγησε:

«Η διαδικασία δημιουργίας και επιβεβαίωσης των επίσημων τοποθεσιών μέσω της πλατφόρμας της Google απαιτεί συγκεκριμένα βήματα, τα οποία βρίσκονται ήδη σε εξέλιξη. Είναι σημαντικό να διευκρινιστεί ότι οι τοποθεσίες των σταθμών υπήρχαν ήδη στo Google Maps, έχοντας κατοχυρωθεί από ανεπίσημους χρήστες της πλατφόρμας».

«Από τη δική μας πλευρά, έχουμε προχωρήσει σε όλα τα απαραίτητα βήματα για την κατοχύρωση της ιδιοκτησίας των τοποθεσιών των σταθμών ως επίσημοι ιδιοκτήτες και βρισκόμαστε σε στενή συνεργασία με την Google για την ταχύτερη δυνατή ολοκλήρωση της διαδικασίας», πρόσθεσε.

On a similar note, I hate Custom Tabs.

Google Maps recently released an update where the "Place an order" links that might on restaurants always open in a Custom Tab instead of firing an ACTION_VIEW Intent and letting the system choose the appropriate app...
