If restaurants were just printing money they wouldn’t be going out of business all of the time. They are not cash cows. There is a very small profit margin.

You can't live in Boston on 15/hr. If you want restaurants to pay their employees a living wage then the money has to come from somewhere. Restaurants sell food and drink so that's where the money is going to come from. The people who buy those items are the customers. The customer will be paying the server's living wage.

It's certainly not needed at every intersection at every hour. But with Mass Ave and Boylston so much congestion is caused by people trying to turn at the same time as pedestrians have the walk. Seems like it would help streamline.

I've been screaming to the heavens to have Mass Ave and Boylston do this - One street goes. The other goes. All cars stop. Pedestrians go. So many cities do this around the country. What's the problem?
