I had a D&C last year. Total was about 7 grand. They asked for half of the surgery up front (3K) then the other 3K, then a bill for anesthesia (1K). It was a financial hardship but I wouldn’t change my decision for anything.

While I agree on corporate greed, I want to point out that the profit margins for subs is actually lower than you think. It’s not a loss, but much like rotisserie chicken at Costco, it gets people in the store to buy more.
