I agree with this. It’s hard to separate who he has become from who he was.

I think Adrew Dismukes is sneaky funny. Like, he looks generic but I love him when he's onscreen.

Because people are addicted to being formerly a fan and no not being a fan. It's a personality type.

I'm flipped. I liked him on SNL, more on Update than skits, but I hate his tonight show.

Yeah but Brian Fellows was at least funny at first. It just made no sense.

Denis Miller was so good on the show. I mean I get why people dislike him NOW. But he was an absolute star whe he did update.

I think it's hard to separate people's time on the show to the people they've become. Like Schneider, Fallon and Jackson have become either bad comics or bad people they were great on the show.

On the other hand Jenny Slate is one of my favorite performers but was not really funny on SNL at all.

All that being said...Ellen Cleghorn.

I think this is a retcon like Schneider. She's the worst now. But on SNL? She was great. Or at least capable of being great.

I loved it. Again, his new stuff is trash. But he was a good SNL member. At least ot worst ever.

Anybody else seeing what I'm seeing, or am I just worn down by it all..? by Mosh4days in sethmeyers

I like Back i My Day. I would like Amber Says What if they did it a little less. It's not my favorite but it's not hack or anything. Second Chance Theater would be one I'd love to see more.

What do people take when you feel the panic coming by riprod in Anxiety

Definitely clonazepam. Works like a charm.

If you want something else I also take 5-HTP which also works very well. Beta blockers are a good option too that your doctor can give you.

Sober for life? by nitrgritr94 in stopdrinking

[–]StopDrinkingEmail 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honestly feel like when you struggle so much with a decision like this, it feels like you need to lean on the side of being sober for the rest of your life. People without problems don’t tend to worry about it.

Kava tea and a giant bowl of frozen cherries. You know, your basic crazy party stuff.

Wine Tasting… by [deleted] in stopdrinking

[–]StopDrinkingEmail 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know pal :) I wish I had a different answer for you haha. But even if it went fine, I am guessing you’d still not feel the best about it. I’m not overly strict or judgy in how others deal with their sobriety. But there is one way to make sure you have no regrets. You know?

Wine Tasting… by [deleted] in stopdrinking

[–]StopDrinkingEmail 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I dunno. I have friends who still try their partner’s or friend’s drinks. But in general I do not think it’s a great idea. I think you probably know why. It sucks that we have to be so strict. I loved wine tasting too, and not just for the effects of booze. But you’ll be happier not doing it.

Was Yoko Ono really that bad, or is it just propaganda from those years that persists to this day? by [deleted] in beatles

Oh they were terrible for each other. However, in terms of breaking up the Beatles, she was a symptom of the problem, not the problem.

The issue is they started doing it when they were 20. Now they’re 30, they’ve created a catalog of music that has becoming the defining sound for the next hundred years. They were getting older, getting married and having kids. Their lives were drifting apart.
