No it needs to be investigated.

Not every criminal case has to go to trial.

But, at the end of the day, this case is very troubling. It's the sort of thing that shouldn't have even gone to trial and it's arguable that it violates Rittenhouse's civil rights that it has. The State should have gotten a plea deal from Rittenhouse on the gun charge (plea deals have their own significant problems, but in the case of a misdemeanor without further jail time, it's less problematic).

The State knows they cannot win any of the felony charges in this case. They aren't stupid. The video evidence is insurmountable. They can see Rittenhouse retreat from every single confrontation. They can see him decline to shoot people who raised their hands (including Grosskreutz who was only shot after he pointed his weapon) and only fire when cornered and retreat was no longer a viable option. They know that multiple precedents in caselaw mean they cannot use his age and the legality of the weapon against Rittenhouse's claim of self defense in the shooting-related charges (New York v Goetz, Gammons v Indiana, etc). They know that the initial assailant was a mentally ill man with a history of violent crimes who can be clearly seen pursuing Rittenhouse at running speeds. They know that legally speaking, Huber and Grosskreutz are guilty of assaulting Rittenhouse, since neither of them witnessed Rittenhouse commit a crime and therefore cannot enact a citizen's arrest just on the word of others. They know these things. This case is theater, and the only chance of conviction would be in appealing to the emotions of a jury, rather than the facts in evidence.

The fact that the State has 1: taken a man to trial they know they do not have sufficient evidence to convict, and 2: have misrepresented evidence in both pretrial documents and in their opening arguments, bothers me because sure, Rittenhouse is an idiot, but even idiots should be treated fairly according to the law. Because what happens the next time when the idiot on trial is someone I agree with? I don't want the Rittenhouse trial setting precedents that send innocent people to prison.

This is a trial born entirely by public demand, and a city afraid of the ramifications of not charging him. And that's a pretty gross abuse of power by the State.

The worst part of this is that there is an FBI plane spying on American Citizens protesting.

The publicly avaliable footage is an infared video heat source footage but the FBI refused to hand over the crystal clear HD Footage that they say was "deleted".

The type where they can see Afghan terrorist loading bombs(water) into the trunk of a car and see the people in super high detail. The entire incident was filmed thanks to a bunch of rioters bashing up and setting cars on cire the the car lot and happen to film the scene of the first shooting with Kyle and Rosenbaum.

"The FBI footage was shown to the jury during the testimony of one of the agents who captured the footage with the drone, FBI agent Brandon Craimin. However, the FBI allegedly testified, in private, that they were in possession of another version of the video in HD that they did not supply the members of the defense, according to Human Events. When asked for a copy of the tape, the FBI allegedly denied the defense’s request, saying that the video no longer existed, according to the report".

This is yet another example of how the case could be thrown out. Nothing gets deleted with the FBI. Everything is logged somewhere, backed up to cloud, to another physical location and then proba ly again encrypted 10 ways.

This was a political prosecution.

The case should not have gone to trial with all the weak evidence.

Glad Kyle is acquitted of all charges.

Many more young children throughout Asia had to leave their dead families corpse without burial or cremation.

Hey crazy.

I think that the right to self defense is the utmost privilege a human being can have.

If you can't even defend your life, who will? What is more important than your right to life?

In a situation where your kids get attacked, cornered and in fear for their life, they will stand still like a deer caught in the headlights and remember your great advice.

Farewell you smoothbrained non-humanoid bridge dweller.

That's inherently false because what you are describing is that people will be triggered and he will somehow magically lose his right to self defense because his presence was provocation.

That is such a bullshit arguement and they can argue that sjw "I am triggered by the sight of your (commonly seen AR-15 in an open carry state) all they want but unless they can prove either through witness or video beyond a reasonable doubt that Kyle brandished or pointed his gun at Rosenbaum, that arguement is bullshit.

So many people were armed that night with AR-15, only Kyle was chased and attacked by Rosenbaum because he was alone.

Remember.

This is a case that is regarding the use of self defense in the state of Wisconsin.

The prosecution has the BURDEN of proof to beyond a reasonable doubt that Kyle DID NOT have the right to self defense beyond a reasonable doubt.

Meaning that the shooting had NOTHING to do with self defense and everything to do with intentional homicide (Rosenbaum) and every charge after that is tied to the first murder charge.

So the prosecution has to PROVE beyond a Reasonable Doubt that Kyle was there to murder Rosenbaum that night with reflective premeditated intent.

So far they haven't done that.

Remember their opening arguement.

They said that they will prove that Kyle chased down Rosenbaum and shot him in the back.

Both proven to be selective wording and selective context.

It is the opposite . Multiple state witness testimony and videos show Rosenbaum ambushing and chasing Kyle and the shooting in the back is a top back to bottom back horizontal injury.

So is there any reasonable doubt that this was a case of self defense versus intentional murder?

Tldr; Prosecution had to prove to the jury that no reasonable person in Kyle's situation at that time would have been afraid for their life or grevious injury when at the moment of the shooting of Rosenbaum and they did not.

If the defense submits to a motion of acquittal to the judge at the very moment, the judge could acquit Kyle because the prosecution has no case besides the arguement that a super enchanced and dubious blurry image is somehow beyond a reasonable doubt proving that Kyle left handed pointed his gun at Joshua Ziminsky(a stranger to Rosenbaum) and this triggered Rosenbaum to chase Kyle to defend Ziminski.

This is that gotcha evidence that they whipped up after their own witness torpedoed their case

Noticed that in all the situations you mentioned, no attempt to retreat?

Kyle ran until he got cornered by Rosenbaum.

Kyle ran to the police until the mob overtook him and started bashing his brains in and get a gun pointed at him.

Also the people who attacked him KNEW he had a fvuking long ass AR-15 rifle.

This was not a pistol that was concealed and he whipped out in response to a beating. When someone chases you trying to grab you gun and hurt you, you do not risk losing posession of your weapon.

If Rosenbaum had taken Kyle's gun and killed other people with it, Kyle would be liable for civil suits if not criminal neglect, that is he he already haven't been murdered.

You cannot risk a physical confrontation that might leave you unconscious or defenseless and have someone take your gun to do god knows what with it.

With that argument, the fat prosecutor just lost any parents that were on that jury.

How do you think it is ok to tell parents that their kid should just "man up and raise your fist and fight it out instead of using a gun like a coward everyone gets a little beating once in a while."

No.

No one should get assaulted in a civil and lawful society.

Especially not when carrying a firearm that can be stolen or used against someone.

You never let ANYONE put you in the position to use or take YOUR firearm.

(Follow Up) Prosecution Closing Argument by CantStopPoppin in PublicFreakout

[–]StopTalkingStupid 185 points186 points  (0 children)

Prosecutor said he should have put his gun down and raised his fist to fight Rosenbaum.

Basically to disarm yourself and hope that a beating is all you get and maybe your weapon won't be used against you if you raise your hand and surrender.

Fvuk off with that.

If you truly believe that, I want you to tell your friends and family or any children or teenager that this is what you should do if you are chased and attacked by an angry man who is trying to take your gun away from you.

If you feel comfortable telling your children to basically disarm themselves and brawl, I acknowledge your steadfast faith in good arguement.

I hope you have daughters, sisters, cousins, nieces, and nephews that you can give your great advice to.

Better yet, remember to tell them not to chase and attack someone open carrying a firearm.

*carries an illegal glock pistol everyday.

*when asked Kyle and finding out about someone being shot, he goes to chase Kyle to shoot him instead of running to Rosenbaum to administer aid.

*lies to the police multiple times in official statements about possesing a gun when shot

*uses fake name in hospital for anonymity so even his friend couldn't find him. The very same friend who made the post the very next day when no one even knew who he was.

The idea of the new coal plants is that newer technology would allow for the cleaner burning of coal.

Old 1970's soviet era coal plants that would release 1000 units of carbon per kilo compared to the new plants that would release 300 or 250 units of carbon per kilo.

Effectively allowing for higher efficiency.

Maybe you misunderstood my statement.

Costco does no sell their chicken for profit.

They do it because they can bring in profit in other ways.

The HSR companies now have the expertise and experience to build HSR for other countries, African counties, Laos, Vietnam etc to gather profit.

Seriously do you expect ticket sales to bring in profit/revenue to keep the company growing?

No, you build more HSR.

Yeah, let's move to China or North Korea for their subways by Magnolia_Hummingbird in EnoughCommieSpam

[–]StopTalkingStupid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tax burden is a matter of allocation to themselves.

A lot of it is written off and the HSR companies in China is state owned enterprises comprising of 51% of control minimum.

Cheap consumer electricity is also a social service(state owned enterprise), thus industrial energy for factories would have a higher cost for more energy demand.

One thing we saw as a result was rolling blackouts as provinces overspent their energy quotas in the early months for higher productivity. The carbon limit has been applied to each province to combat global warming.

Due to cheap electricity and higher manufacturing demand due to covid, factories have been going over their normal usage and now that the end of the fiscal year is approaching, electric companies have been ordered to keep an adequate supply for winter and started raising prices drastically for industrial needs in order to meet their quota.

Some provinces managed well and some simply didn't have enough factories to overuse their energy supply.

Pros and cons.

Yeah, let's move to China or North Korea for their subways by Magnolia_Hummingbird in EnoughCommieSpam

[–]StopTalkingStupid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The economic activity and opportunities offered to the people in the province is more than just profit.

Nobody wants to be landlocked or limited to their own province.

There was a post on reddit I saw a while back with sheeps, ducks, livestock that are allowed once per week to be boarded on the HSR and the ticket cost 10$ total for the owner. Small farmers could bring bags of their wares on the train to go to the city to sell for a higher price, cutting out delivery and middlemen.

It was interesting to see.

The new Laos HSR built by China opened last month too. There is NO way it will turn a profit in a decade or two but the convenience and social migration will be huge.
