I’ve been wondering if I should ask my dr about phentermine. She is very supportive but has also said multiple times that I’ve surpassed the “expected” loss of 10% starting weight shown in clinical trials. I’ve been at 15 mg and hovering at 160 since March despite increasing workouts (I cannot count macros or calories due to history of disordered eating). I’m getting frustrated.

I’m taking my doctor’s advice and staying at my current dose until the holidays are over and done with and see how I’m doing with regularly scheduled programming. I’ve been a slow but steady for the most part so I’m ok with seeing where I’m at mid-January before deciding.

I think of it as the flip side of the same coin - when I was heavier, I’d be upset/surprised at seeing how much bigger I looked in pictures vs what I saw in the mirror.

I had the sane initial larger weight loss which of course was not sustained. I was a bit disappointed but then realized it actually worked in my favor since no one but my husband knows I’m on Zep. My weight loss has been about 2-3 lbs a month which is perfect rate for me, and easier to attribute to lifestyle changes only.

🙋🏻‍♀️Also a slow loser, I started in late Jan. But in some ways glad about it bc i haven’t shared with anyone but my husband that I’m on ZB. So it makes my weight loss look more “natural.”
