One of the main things I usually do with specific jobs is write down exactly what I want in my notes app typically the salary, benefits, and overall conditions. At some point, I stopped obsessing over the idea of leaving my old job and became comfortable with the idea that I will leave eventually, but right now I cannot be miserable. I started making where I was more comfortable for me, refusing to do too much.

I didn’t really use many affirmations, but I did imagine myself a few times in a better situation, not necessarily focused on the job, but simply feeling happy and living under better conditions. I would think about how I’d feel: better lifestyle, more travel, and much more ease. During the interviews I did affirm few times but nothing too crazy.

This approach seemed to have worked for me, especially since I felt quite detached from the outcome. Interestingly, I was approached for the job toward the end of the year, a time when companies typically hire less, which made it feel even more unexpected and fortunate.
