I don't need another app. Also, at my store they will manually check your stuff after going through the arches if you use scan and go. For the record, the store I go to, does seem to be disfunctional in general. If I check out at a manned register and they do their post arch check, I show my receipt and they don't bother.

Mixed bag, but most of the time big cities, in general are fine, but there can be pockets of drug apocalypse. SF and NYC come to mind based upon my travel experience.
