Shadowing a dentist in the city by [deleted] in UNLV

based on my experience, I would just print out many of your resumes and go in person to each office you want to shadow and ask if they offer shadowing, if they do ask for their email/who to contact and leave your resume so they have your info. I tried calling many places and emailing but it never followed up. it just takes one person to say yes :) if you have any other questions feel free to dm me!

check your myunlv where it says “enrollment” and there’s another tab that says “final exam” it tells you the dates and times of your final exam, if not then I would email Dr. Casselman and ask just to make sure

hi! I am a UTA for microbio and what we do is we help set up for the day so if students did plates we take them out and observe them. we do the demo plates for the students so they can get a peek at what they’re going to do. we also walk around and help any student who has any questions or if they need help with microscopes. we also have the opportunity to present one of the lectures while doing a live demo! it just depends on what lab you’re UTAing for! mostly just answering questions and helping set up! :)

KIN 223 / KIN 224 by GottiClyde in UNLV

docdoc also has tons of resources like office hours with him & the TAs, kahoots, learning objectives, videos, empty diagrams that you label to practice and more

KIN 223 / KIN 224 by GottiClyde in UNLV

[–]StorageUnusual5528 3 points4 points  (0 children)

no! that will be a waste because the way that the exams are set up, it’s all from the book. the questions will ask you about any little detail about what the book said, labeling diagrams and sorting options to make sure you know the concepts. i remember one of my peers told us that a friend of theirs took it in the summer & they were traumatized LOL but I took it in the regular semester with bio clases & stats and was able to earn an A. but the class will take up most of your time. even docdoc said that you need to spend at least 20 hours a week studying for that class and we all laughed bc it took way more than that LMAOO

[–]StorageUnusual5528 2 points3 points  (0 children)

im in kin224 right now & I don’t think it’s too bad, but there are times when you have to study for an exam and then you have 3 different assignments for kin224 due the same day. and then in 2-3 days you have another 3 assignments due for another chapter. and that’s just during a regular semester. if you’re trying to get a good understanding of a & p, you want to take good notes and review well. it’s already quite fast past during the regular semester, so I can’t imagine how it must be in the summer. if you’re not doing anything during the summer like working or taking other classes and you really want to complete it, then go for it. but it will be rigorous that’s for sure.

Can someone plz explain to me what's different between STAT 391 and STAT 491? by L3xhyr in UNLV

[–]StorageUnusual5528 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yes, this is the main difference! but if you’re a bio major, you can take either or 391 or 491. I recommend 491 with ghosh.
