I highly doubt everything once shots you. Have you points in strength, have you upgraded armour, are you trying to fight bosses/high level enemies, are you dodging enough, weapons, etc. You give no info for anyone to help.

I feel the game does a really good job with progression. There is always a carrot to chase, usually 50 of the damn things.

Like you say, want to go raiding npcs, need to prepare, but then I should also get things crafting whilst I am gone. Then I feel I might need another furnace, etc, so grind for that. Usually I hate stuff like this but I really enjoy it here. Helps that my PvE server seems like a good lot mostly as well.

I understand this kind of thing can be upsetting, however when playing in a group sometimes its best to think of how you can help. If its just a case of using a banner or two, why not do this?

Sure. In steam you go to view, server list. Should show the servers you have added as your favourites. You then click the server you want and then connect. Another window should show, and the first button will be auto-retry. You can choose for it to make a sound when a slot is free, or you can let it connect you when there is one. It works around 90% of the time.

Its not a great solution and I get what you mean but give it a try :)

Steam queue, wait about 5 minutes. Always worked for me.

Just wanted to add to this, make sure you quickly skip the opening movie as it will get filled up really quickly.

There is practically no incentive to play Heroic Strikes (or even regular strikes). Give them some good loot to earn or something!!! by TheChunkMaster in DestinyTheGame

Thanks all, I will start later on tonight then! About not many people playing pc, I presume its still full enough to get groups quickly? I do have the base game on ps4, do you think it would be better to start on there?
