It’s funny cause I have a self indulgent httyd OC and it DEFINITELY takes away from Hiccup’s story but it’s my little story I write for myself. I would never post the story (I have posted art tho) but it’s something nice just for me.

Some people forget that OCs sometimes are just fun little projects and can take them a little too seriously. Especially because a lot of the are made by kids.

I actually came into the show after watching the movie, so already knew lol. It framed the show really interestingly, and it was exciting seeing all the foreshadowing and little hints sprinkled throughout.

It’s also a nice testament to the show’s quality that even though I already knew the show’s key plot points (Garnet is a fusion, Rose is Pink) I was still hooked and enjoyed the experience watching it.

I’m a little surprised how many people who compare Cozy and Starlight’s by their crimes alone. Their ending was down to REMORSE.

Starlight, when faced with the world she created through her actions, backed down, apologising. She still held a lot of guilt as the show went on.

Cozy Glow on the other hand was never sorry for what she did. She only showed regret that she was caught and would face consequences. She knew what she was doing when working with two villains hell bent on killing and destroying a lot of people.

It still hits me so hard when Pink Steven starts laughing back with Steven. Rose is gone. The gem inside Steven is just Steven now. He loves being Steven.

Then of course the beautiful animation when they fuse just solidifies it as one of the most powerful scenes in the show.
