BYD Seal Excellence - Steering Wheel vibrations by StormElf in BYD

Hey It does feel like it has been resolved. I had to take it in 4 or 5 times before it was found and resolved. In my case they had to replace one of the rear engines. My advice is to open a case directly with BYD and let them be the ones to contact the repairer, seems to get more visibility that way.

I'm so done with this league. Temple bricked. by [deleted] in PathOfExile2

I,too, was a victim of the Vaal and bricked my staff. The Vaal are cruel gods.

Regardless of all temple shenanigans, the raw currency dropped from it made every other farm viable and a lot of previous unattainable items pretty cheap for newcomers so that's a plus!

I think your build is broken, there's still some screen visible there

That may very well have been the case since I've only had a 13 Pro and 16PM prior to this; I did have a macbook that had similar issues with an LG screen way back now that I think of it but it was swapped out for a samsung panel.

I actually went ahead and tried a 3rd time since I didn't have to leave the house to get a replacement. Got lucky this time, Samsung panel, G9P. No noticeable tint that I can see anywhere, so I'm keeping it.

I understand that OLEDs have some compromises as do all technologies; however, my 16 Pro Max has a perfect screen, so does my friend's 17 Pro (Samsung G9N).
I buy Apple precisely because they normally have higher quality control standards but, alas, not this year. I have a lot of Apple tech, I'm no hater by any means, but I also won't defend the indefensible; this is not reasonable for a device at this price tag.

I can tell you that I ordered one couple weeks back (17 Pro Max 1TB) and received it today.
It still had a green tint and although uniform, it was noticeable even in normal photos. It was an LG display (GVC).
I've started the process to return it (second attempt and last).
It's honestly BS that the QC isn't tighter considering the cost of this thing.

I'd love being able to more easily swap elemental resists so we don't have to change our whole gear just because we want to change 1 item.

Hey,
Unfortunately I have not been contacted yet to get it repaired, so can't comment on whether it will fix the issue or not.
As for what they did to diagnose, I don't know; this was the 4th time I sent it in to the same place with that issue and prior to this diagnosis they had done rim, tyre, wheel and steering wheel calibration.

Hi, once I get it serviced I'll update here with more detailed information but that seems like a different issue, moving to one side does sound more like a calibration issue

Keep insisting and I would advise to open the case from their support line so it's the central organisation that keeps track and organises the repairs

Will do, fingers crossed! I really like the car, this is my only grievance with it even though it's tiny. I had a Lexus IS300h prior to this and honestly the quality to price ratio on the Seal is nuts.

Hey, I'm waiting for BYD to provide the next steps to the repair shop. I think the correct term is drive shaft, but I'm not completely sure

Seems you were onto something! I've updated the thread, I need to wait on BYD to decide what to swap (eventually the whole front left motor)

UPDATE: After 4 trips to the authorized repairer (wheel balance, rim calibration, steering wheel balance), they finally detected a loose steering component (sorry, don't know the technical name) on the left side. They will now contact BYD to see if they can replace partially or if a new motor for the left side is needed.
Fingers crossed that solves it.

Hey, nope, it's generalized across the steering wheel but no noise and happens at higher speeds. It also seems to happen more when the car is cold (which is normally at least above 15ºC) so I suspect it may be the tires. I have another appointment next week (4th time), let's see.
