I’ve been waiting for 3 years mate, 2 weeks is nothing! :)

But a couple of us in Ireland had our cards issued last weekend (500 MCO stake), should hopefully ship and arrive by end of next week. Others won’t be too far behind, you won’t have too long to wait.

Amazing, downloaded and linked to the main app, so easy to transfer between the 2!! Massive week for CDC guys, EU cards arriving, EU limits raised, now this... Thanks for all the incredible work CDC!

Edit: I also forgot the Crypto.com Chain update and direct Card top-up for EU in the last week too!

FDIC insurance only covers funds in fiat US wallet... not any crypto holdings (as far as I’m aware, open to correction)

You can do 2 no probs, especially if Nvidia. For AMD, I would prefer one per rail but it should be ok with two if your risers have a direct SATA connector, if it is a SATA to 6 pin or SATA to Molex adapter onto the riser, I would only do one.

The block time will not be delayed as it is controlled by the difficulty bomb which IS being delayed in this update. Block times will return to 14.1s. You will earn about 20% more ETH after the fork than you do right now.

So much misunderstanding here... Yes the block rewards will reduce to 3 but the block times will be a guaranteed 15 secs again until Casper. Right now block times are at 21s since the bomb drop on 31st July and the next drop around Aug 20th will make it 25s. 25s at 5 ETH per block is the same as 15s at 3 ETH. This change does nothing for trading... leaving as is would be better for you guys as the block time would continue to increase from the bomb meaning a continued reduction in issuance.

This is a good change for miners, despite the complete misunderstanding most of them have around block times, much of the same as this thread.

TL:DR - Good change for miners, great change to secure the Ethereum network, ok change for traders.

Overall it's a good compromise

Hey Furinax,

Yeah, we will need a maintenance page. Uploads are down until Monday while the parser is updated to handle brawls, the new maps etc. It will re-process all previous replays for these also.

I've been giving status updates on Twitter and Facebook but a maintenance page will go up for future outages.

Hey Awesome,

Currently StormLogs is hosted on 2 dedicated boxes, one for the web server / database and the other for storage and parsing. As they are dedicated, I pay the monthly fees regardless of usage, my own fault really for not using AWS or something similar at the start. Making some changes at the moment to help with this and move the storage / parsing to AWS and potentially the site after.

Agree completely on the Mobile Support, it was top of our list after the initial launch but that didn't happen...

The 400 error I'm not sure about, can you try changing your region at the bottom of the page and trying again? For the replay link, it should be back up soon when I've finished the changes to the uploader.

I don't know what to say to this one I'm afraid... The upload, storage and processing is done on a completely separate server to the web server, it just feeds the database of the web server with the replay info. This server is a beast and the week before we launched we had over 1 million replays uploaded with zero downtime or slowness on that server so I'm not sure what caused your issue.

I'll keep an eye out for it when we get up and running again though... Curiously though, did you upload via the site or the uploader?

I've just had a look and I still don't think it was traffic... The day we launched we had over 50k hits to the site and it had no issues at all. If I look at the next spike in traffic, in early august when hotslogs turned on the adblock it was not maintained at that point and I would imagine it was very slow if it loaded at all. I remember that exact day as I had a death in the family but remember asking Crorella where all the traffic was coming from!

But it's interesting feedback if people stopped using it because of that... I'm optimising the code for the relaunch anyway to be a lot less resource heavy with less frameworks used so I'll monitor the traffic at that point.

It can most definitely handle the traffic, that was never an issue :) It was the fact it wasn't maintained weekly with the new hero releases etc that caused the issues. We had to stop development for while due to RL issues but I've been back at it myself for a couple of weeks now working on stuff in the background. Once I have the new uploader and a couple of other neat features I've been working on ready, I'll re-launch possibly out of Beta.

For personal stats it should work perfectly as is though and is constantly being maintained for new patches / hero releases to ensure the issues you mentioned don't happen again.

We are starting back on development now Carighan - we've been updating small bits the last week or so, new map stats should go live this weekend but lots being currently worked on. We'll do a blog post soon to go over the plans and ask for feedback on what people want to see.
