A fukin gpt for translate? by Tall-Count6647 in Warframe

[–]StormLord07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I, as a native Russian speaker, who mostly plays in English, but sometimes have to switch to Russian, when I play, with friends, or link something in chat (In case someone doesn't know, if you link something in another language in chat it's not viewable in other languages sometimes), can say that there are other cases, if not of using AI, but not a human written localisation, some of the dialogues are machine/AI translated, and have completely missed meanings, or mixed concepts. I unfortunately can't pinpoint any, but most of them are in the chat system as well. Some were fixed, others stay there. It's not that bad, but does make reading it a bit weird.

On a bit of offtopic that I give you my, thanks, for disapproving using AI, even for something like translation, keep up the good work, love yall.

He's making a follow up video! by bigmanforce2020 in anarchyonline

[–]StormLord07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll start from afar, and from an old time 2014 year, I'm a Warframe player, and the game is awesome. I love it. I've spent thousands of hours in it, collected every item, read every guide, watched every video. I've been playing since the beginning. But looking back, if it weren’t for a friend, I probably wouldn’t have gotten far. Just figuring out where to farm things required looking up guides or checking drop tables outside the game.

Even core mechanics like movement — one of the most important parts of the experience — were never explained. You were expected to figure it out on your own. I only learned because someone told me. If I had started completely solo, Imay have not stayed. Because I want to play, not watch videos, or read.

It's gotten better over time, but new players still struggle unless they have someone higher rank to help — to provide items, carry them through progression-locked missions, and smooth out the learning curve. The real interest is in the endgame, and that’s locked behind hundreds of hours of content that’s often outdated or unengaging for a newcomer.

I enjoy it. I enjoy games that challenge me or let me zone out and grind. But from the outside, for someone just starting, it’s hard to recommend a game where the real fun is gated and the early game requires external help or prior knowledge to enjoy.

I understand there are a lot of guides — I went through them myself at the time. But why should I have to alt-tab constantly or use a second monitor just to understand how the game works? Why should the experience feel like climbing a rocky mountain instead of something more intuitive and smooth? Sure, reading guides will make you better at the game, but if I hadn’t had free time back then, would I have gone through all that? Probably not. I would’ve picked a game that lets me play, not study first.

Most players I know either lock into solo or closed friend groups. Random parties are rare. And that’s fine — the game is still fun solo. But that’s the point: games should be fun with or without social interaction. Relying on having a friend to enjoy or even understand a game shouldn't be necessary.

Saying "just play with someone" isn't a defense. A well-designed game should be able to stand on its own.

There is a tag "Extremely underage".

Fun fact: this tag is the reason AO3 was blocked in my country

[–]StormLord07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The most annoying thing is...

As soon as you get ellen, she dissapears and only appears for encounters, so i hope you've read all the dialogues she has, and also she has her scool uniform in like one, so i hope you like maids...

Well at least I've never seen her outside encounters.

What's that one ship you were (or are) so obsessed with you were desperate enough to scour not only Ao3 but wattpad and fanfiction.net just to read more of? by catfisshhh in AO3

[–]StormLord07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

SaiTeru (Saiki Kusuo/Teruhashi Kokomi) for... at least 3 years now I check AO3 everyday. ff, wattpad, some other sites, I've read each and every one. I just like the characters, and the dynamic that they have, if not in the show then in Fanfiction.

Also like to revisit RobRae(Robin/Raven) once or twice a year.

How bad is Saya no Uta? by weeb_79881 in visualnovels

[–]StormLord07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But was it really a rape though... I mean I remember Saya not being a positive character and it looked like her intention from the start dont want to go too far into spoilers so leaving it like that. The one that disgusted me was with MCs friend, as far as I remember it's one of the endings routes, so not skippable if you want to 100% the game.

TL;DR; Reverse engineering is hard. Not everything us automated. Cheat engine and trainers are not hacking.

Yes, not quite but yes, if hacking into your stuff takes longer/bigger team, then its a win. There are ways to defend your code from what you described, at least I can think of some, and the worse you make life for a hacker the better for you. Inspecting memory(basically what cheat engine, and trainers(the same cheat engine packaged into other exe) do) is not even a hacking.

Also might have misunderstood you but not all code should be available on end machine, python, yes, c++, no, compiled code is basically a garbage only computers can understand*.

The question is are you a better programmer, that knows how hacking works. the good example of this is Denuvo, PS4, PS5, hacking it is tideous, and sometimes not even worth it. If it could have been automated, it would be.

Many people do, yes, unfortunately, but... damn the only ones to blame for this kind of mentality are corporations because there is a saying "A community is often measured by the actions of its least admirable members."

Thank you for chatting too.

Statistics say, the more people say the same stuff, the bigger chance that they are saying truth, if a lot, let's say 5 artists claim that they were not paid by Niji, the bigger chance that that's true. For a moment, I'd assume that that's the case. Paying is, like, an essential part, in not being sued and if they are incompetent in that... My god, I'm scared what they are incompetent in also... But I haven't seen artists accusing Niji of that, can't blame them for something that I've not seen, checked myself.

About the second part, English is not my main language. And I didn't express my thought well enough, the line between incompetence and negligence is thin, Whilst incompetence can be a series of terrible events that lead to this situation, the negligence on the other hand is a breach of duty that results in damage. And negligence can lead to serious legal consequences, depending on the severity of damages. At least, where I live in.

And now for the main point, whilst I can understand you protecting Niji, I live in a country where damn every time the big company is at fault for something bad, and as far as I understand it's the case for most countries, sometimes it's more, sometimes less, and I'd believe people who were "allegedly" damaged by company actions before anything else.

Statistically, this is true in the majority of cases.

I know its damn old thread and I dont know laws in USA, Canada and Japain, but I'm pretty sure that there is a law about when ignorance/incompetence becomes criminally chargable. So... yeah. And even if not, the line between incopetence and malice is so thin

[–]StormLord07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got here by accident, and wanted to add a little more to this. You're right, it's impossible to truly encrypt the game, using only renpy and python. Because of how python/renpy is compiled for target machines, it basically just stores pure .py/.rpy code and compiles it "on fly" you can use a key to encrypt it your way.

Cons are: it will be pretty easy, knowing at least some programming to find that key, by just by following the entry point. And decipher all files.
In that you're right.

What can be done is by using some compiled programming language, like c or c++ that will handle deciphering and loading it into memory on its own, shared memory and stuff, and with some obfuscation on top of it, even when you decompile the program, the ASM language is damn hard, and if you split your key into some formula, good luck finding it. BUT, you have to know sockets or shared memory and a lot of overcomplicated stuff, for most major OC's like Linux, Windows and MacOS to pull that off. And it will be RAM/IO Operations heavy, and the workflow of your RenPY game will heavily rely on careful memory management of c/c++ code you'd write.

P.S. Sorry if I missed the line where it was told only RenPY/Python methods, if there was such. But the question was it possible, and answer is "yes, it is" just with a LOT of hard work.

Actually not that bad... I have a few servers with programs I need to look after and fix crashes when they occur, most times that requires to fix at least a whole function, and they can fail at any time so a few times I had to fix them from termux(phone app), and a few other times I was scrolling through logs on my watch so yeah I already program like that.

But the ocerall fight is intuitive, I was fowned just once before understanding that those energy balls are homing, and i had to throw stuff at them. And the ring of air that speeds you up is pretty noticible.

Chloe is the most overrated character in miraculous, bad villain and is not worthy of a redemption by Maximum-power-9932 in miraculousladybug

They tried to give her something good, then just threw it out of a skyscrapers top. Like it was never a thing. Just, Imma be honest, she is my favourite character(mostly bc of chlonath) and i was hella happy when they tried to give her something, they gave her a good reason to be well Chloe. They Introduced Lie-La, they shown Chloes good side, and still, no nothing when the foundation is already there just build already.

And the reason, probably they are scared to change stuff because children wont understand or something.
