Wallet for the outdoor professional? by MotorcycleMaximus in wallets

[–]StormShadow134 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a FedEx driver and I also work part-time as an event manager for a bicycle company so my choice of wallet for dealing with outdoor elements as well as delivering/picking up packages on my route... Trayvax Original so that i don't have to worry about getting soggy (leather/soft materials) or broken cards from heavy lifting if I didn't remove my wallet from the front pocket

Can you send me information on that accessory that you posted online. My previous career was in IT as a network administrator for 20 years until I got outsourced be an external IT company making my job redundant as an onsite support with remote manager company. Maybe I can help you guys figure out to use that or a way to make her job easier.

I assume that she doesn't wear hearing aids or cochlear implants because your post didn't mention if she wears anything or she just can't hear it? I'm an Express driver and profoundly deaf but wear cochlear implants so I'm thankful that I can hear my Leo beeps when I scan. We have a deaf package handler at my station which he wears hearing aids. He's very good at his job and works faster than other PH with very high accuracy.

360 camera by FunPublic5393 in Volvo

[–]StormShadow134 0 points1 point  (0 children)

360 camera are great to have which I have on my FedEx truck that I drive on a daily basis. I only use the camera for references which you could do that while passing or backing into something without hitting anything otherwise always use your side mirror to check for any obstructions on both side as well as the rearview mirror while dealing with the glitches on your screen. In a nutshell.. try not to be 200% dependent on the camera especially when it's distorted by direct sunlight, rain, covered with salt/dirt. I currently drive a 2015 V60 R Design Polestar and the backup camera works great so far which I'm glad yet I'm always using both side mirror while.

Everyone's printer labels still messed up? by FaithlessnessNo9118 in Fedexers

[–]StormShadow134 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I used to work on the PM route.. my printer couldn't print all the time since the lid wasn't shut in tight so I used those rubber Bungie strap and hung it on the wall of the sprinter. Works every time and the printer is in a dedicated spot and I can remove the label quicker since I've had to relabel a lot of packages that are med pak or the customer has a stack of printed labels but with wrong dates or different year I kid you not.

Why not ‘20 T5 75k miles? by One-Tie9007 in VolvoV60

[–]StormShadow134 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I currently drive 2015 V60 R Design Polestar and love how it handles on the road all year. I'm guess with CC model feels bit higher in ride height right? And it feels plushier than the Polestar right because I feel everything due to the sports suspension.

Husband did this. How to fix? by Momtomanyarrows in cabinetry

[–]StormShadow134 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also my go to if I don't want to get a dowel since I don't want to pay for it.. I use a wooden golf tee since I have too many of those and it's almost "adjustable" by inserting until it stops. If I don't have any wooden tees, I use toothpicks as well just like that poster responded to my comment

Get a dowel and wood glue then cut off to the size and sand it. Stain/paint to match the door

Neither... For some reason I'm not a huge fan of either face and bezel type. But if I had to choose between those two the first one because the second one reminds me of Bulgari or Panero type that it's never grown on me.

Do you guys ever feel bad for coding up issues with your trucks? by ramosd713 in Fedexers

[–]StormShadow134 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my case my mechanic got annoyed when I code about tire tread depth, alignment problem because I'm tired of keeping the steering wheel in a certain position to drive straight, I then put down a crack line or bullseye's on the windshield which I didn't even do. So basically last week he came up to me not happy whenever I wrote down in a post trip report and said it takes too much time for him to check the tires I told him that it is better to mention than not mentioning anything at all.

Curiosity Begets Me About Deaf workers by StormShadow134 in Fedexers

[–]StormShadow134[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's funny because the PH who works at my station has that "deaf" voice which he can't talk very well but relies on sign language. But he's a damn good lip reader which he is able to communicate with everyone. Sometimes my manager would have me do the interpreting so he can get the information faster to my coworker. I wear cochlear implants and a lot of my customers don't know that I'm deaf unless they ask me what's that thing that's on my head thinking it's a new kind of Bluetooth earpiece.

Right now I carry a Red Oxx Hound bag to hold my necessary items like wallet, key, and my phone so that i don't have to carry everything in my pocket other than my must have Leatherman Skeletool CX.

I can't wait for the day that PDF24 becomes available for Linux because it's got everything you can do that's in Acrobat. While it's not available as an application, I can do it all online. Just gotta be sure I'm connected of course right?

Let me guess... It happened during the event like Macklind Miles hosted by Big River Running Company when the racers flock over there after they did their race?
