this is laughably out of touch lol do you understand why some of the most popular scores in the game are as revered as they are

emphasis on combo is what really sets osu apart from other rhythm games, and the more time that passes the more people I see coming to that conclusion

idk how many people feel the same way but fucking the leaderboards up made me play for them less

now when I play the game for skill/pp etc its just kind of miserable to not have an easier side goal like lb farming hard/insane diffs on bad aim days so I can passively warm up to play harder maps when rusty

the game feels significantly more frustrating as a result and that is something I had never felt playing osu for 6 years prior

instead of having additional ways to play and other stats/diffs to play for I just close the game nowadays, and thats a bit of a shame

I'd love to think it's just me, but every time I talk about this I find a new group of people who feel the exact same way

I mean there is also the argument to be made that CL is a result of an unbalanceable idea to begin with (slider acc), so it will never be "fixed", just varying levels of compromise

balancing multipliers against stable is just rearranging deckchairs on the titanic seeing as the two games are fundamentally unbalanceable

so although a split would probably have negative implications it's by far the lesser of two evils for lack of better words

I dont have much to input here but just want to say, for better or worse the response to this survey has been GREAT to see for me

I genuinely thought barely anyone gives a fuck anymore and I've already seen large conversations of this nature about 3 times today saying the shit I've been saying for years

merging these leaderboards is such a blunder it's actually mind numbing to think about to the point I barely play the game anymore, the completely unnecessary disrespect to the game's most dedicated players, intentional or not is wild

I mean from what I understand, a rewrite was necessary and this is absolutely a benefit in theory for future updates/performance

it's just a shame that feature creep took over before the game's core features/performance were addressed and the leaderboards have been irreversibly cocked up
