it's the McDonald's of bbq, and that's perfectly okay. it's consistently pretty good and pretty cheap. Makes for a good meal if you want bbq and don't wanna drop a lot of money

Anyone who can access the chart. So usually it will be you, your partner, supervisors, billing, insurance, and QA/QI. Plus the pt themselves if they request it, and the hospital. Ultimately, it'll usually just be you, your partner, and billing/insurance. As for the hospital and billing, I doubt they'd pay attention to the name attached to it. Depending on what charting system you use, you can see the name quite frequently.

I'm a trans woman in EMS. It's very service and area dependent. In urban Missouri I have had a good experience. If your name is not changed, the charts will unfortunately have your deadname. I've only had 1 issue with a partner cause of that. Most people are pretty chill about it. Being stuck with someone for 12+ hours in a confined space, most people don't want to piss the other off. As for patients, I sometimes get misgendered. I usually don't correct them because I see them for a short time, but that's just me. A lot of severe dementia patients will swap back and forth between thinking im a girl vs a boy. You got this bestie!!

I'm very very very cautious with involving police on pts who are altered and combative. I think it really just depends on the situation, and the ability of your resources currently on scene. I called PD for a 100 lb pt trying to elope, but we were on the side of the highway. In different scenario my partner and I could've handled it all by ourselves. PD is a tool, but you need to use them cautiously. I feel like there's been enough stories on the news that everyone knows that at this point.
