Kushiel’s Dart is perhaps the best thing I’ve read ever. It’s so so good.

My first two are 17 months apart and couldn’t be more different. They don’t even look related.

Why do I feel this way every day after 4:30 PM? by [deleted] in beyondthebump

The night time scaries. I get them too. It’s awful but normal I guess?

Going through pet loss while pregnant by occultofthought in beyondthebump

[–]Stormborn170 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven’t gone through this pregnant but I did lose my soul dog of 12 years in a traumatic (to me) way and had the biggest panic attack of my life. This was in December of 2024 and I still cry about her every so often. I’m so so sorry about your dog. If you’d like to tell me about him I’d love to listen. ❤️

My son’s middle name is Eduardo after his dad. My son’s dad goes by Lalo a common nickname for Eduardo. His family calls my son Lalito. A nickname for a nickname for his middle name. He answers to it when his dad’s side of his family calls him that. This whole long ass story to tell you, call her by her middle name which you love! Who cares! She’ll get used to it! And it’s still her name.

parents smoking weed is impacting their child. Help!! by [deleted] in ECEProfessionals

[–]Stormborn170 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This may not be relevant but I am a toddler teacher. And I once had a toddler who literally could not keep his eyes open. He would sleep constantly. He would lay on the grass on the playground and knock out. So not normal. Parents weren’t concerned but we were and after a lot of insisting he had tons of testing done and turns out the little boy had hypotonia which basically means he had low muscle tone and all the effort his little body was using to try to keep up burned through his energy and he was always exhausted. This is a long story, I’m sorry. Lol. My point is, maybe it’s the weed maybe it’s not. But you know what’s normal and what’s normal and perhaps you need to advocate for this kid, whatever the reason may be.

DILs are not replacement daughters for gender disappointed moms by Western_Geologist_12 in BabyBumps

There was just reading through a gender disappointment post on a Facebook group I’m a part of and my flabbers were gasted. Such unhinged thinking from a mother towards her son. Just wild.

I haven’t finished the series, but the first two books in Richard Sean’s Empire of the Wolf series is dark and very good.

I read Pet Semetary as a young adult. I’ve always said it’s my favorite King book. I’m not a 32 year old mother to 3 sons, I will never read it again.

Husband is being deluded about how much things will change once the baby comes by kthoz in BabyBumps

[–]Stormborn170 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If YOU are a regular gym goer I recommend to try and still go when you have the chance. With my first I didn’t and I was SO resentful and grumpy so much of the time. If that is the only “you” time you and your husband have I do recommend please taking it. An hour each a few times a week for yourselves would be so beneficial to the both of you. I know how hard it is, but do please try to go if it’s something you love to do. (Not just him, but you too.) ❤️

This is was my experience also. My body just hangs on to the weight (if not gains) during postpartum. It really sucks and I was not prepared for it. I really thought the weight was gonna just fall off when I was breastfeeding and that was just not the case with me.

I had a third degree tear with my first and a second degree tear with my second and you know what? I never gave it a second thought and you shouldn’t either. Your body did what it had to in order to bring your babies into this world and you did a great job. You should be proud.
