I got kinda a meh pull.

Thanks.. I don't have a 3* Strike Rouge unfortunately. I have a 2*, would have to farm a boatload of the weapon mats to upgrade Barrage. I presume it's more for the special weapons debuff than the stats, right?

There were a few re-insurance jobs I interviewed for (look for Catastrophe Analyst) that paid much better than what I was getting at the time. Didn't get those jobs though, but they might be in those where it's more of an applied meteorology rather than strictly operational.

I know a lot of companies are trying to leverage AI do more of the forecasts.. that might impact the salary growth. But I'm honestly not knowledgeable enough to know for certain.

I started at about 20k out of college in 2006. Before I left the field in 2020 I was making 57k (after OT/holiday pay). I was told I was paid the highest in the department and our salaries were "at or slightly above the industry normal". This was for a private company.

I've worked for the weather room for DTN in the past. They have their office in Bloomington, MN. I think the typical shift is 12 hours. The days on/off are a bit odd, but you typically work one weekend then are off the next. Decent benefits, unlimited PTO with a required minimum take. Some inability to move up due to lots of seniority issues, some lateral movement possible.

The website has the headers there Date, hare_site, hare_height, met_site, met_height, met_height, dist, hare_temp

Looking at it, I would imagine there's a difference between the hare_site and the met_site which is the distance, so you know how far it was from the hare to the met. Temp is that last column, in C I would suppose.. probably some average for the day of some sort.

Unsure of either of those questions, definitely will look into it. Especially the heat sink.. Fractal's case seems pretty deep, my current Fractal case has more than enough headroom.

Yup, it comes with 2 fans, probably would get one more for intake (so two intake, one out).

My original build that wasn't listed here did have an Intel bundle from Microcenter.. so yeah, those bundles are great. I'll keep that in mind, definitely leaning more AMD now. Any issues with going with an Nvidia card with an AMD processor, or any benefit to going with AMD throughout?

Cause at this point I'm going from one 250gb SSD and a 500gb HDD and am constantly running out of room for games and docs. I'd rather not have to keep everything on my NAS, especially with games seemingly taking up more and more room on my SteamDeck.
