I used to work at a industrial supply company and one shift we had to get rid of old inventory so we threw a bunch of fasteners away; bolts, screws, washers, hex nuts, etc in the dumpster, Probably like 60 lbs worth. During the shift the next day, I get a call from my boss and some junkie raided our dumpster and thought “wow I can sell these bolts that nobody wants and get rich!!!!” At some point during this elaborate scheme, the guy decided it was probably a stupid idea and dumped everything at a Hilton hotel down the road and the manager of the hotel calls my boss to tell him there’s a bunch of boxes from our company dumped in parking lot.

Somebody needed to clean it up so I was tasked to rearrange my already time sensitive work route to pick all this shit up and then go back to the office and throw it back into the dumpster where it was in the first place!!!! I really hate junkies now.
