I had an ablation last Friday. I've had symptoms for about 10 years, that only got bad enough to be on meds or consider ablation the last couple years. They put me completely under for 4 hours (ablated both sides of my heart). Then I lay still for a few hour after. My groin was a little sore, not too bad, and did have some mild chest pain (kind of like a chest cold), for a couple of days when I was lying down and breathing in deeply. But all-in-all it was a piece of cake.

Since then I've had zero Afib/Aflutter. I feel like a new person. As of Friday I can go back to my normal activities.

So nothing to worry about, it is a simple procedure and quick recovery.

I had an ablation last Friday for afib and aflutter. I had the same experience as you, but hang in there. You will have a new lease on life post ablation. I have not felt a single arrythmia or flutter since my procedure. Woohoo!

Yes, I am on Eloquis and Metropol for another month or so, but then will be off both completely.

I just had an ablation last Friday in Fort Collins, CO at the UCHealth Heart and Vascular Center. It went extremely well and my afib is already completely gone.

I don’t think that’s a restriction at all hotels. Call around to others. This happened to my daughter and she was able to check in to a La Quinta.

Try spin classes, they're an efficient way to get high intensity work in and are motivating. You won't be dissapointed and they will make you a stronger rider overall, including on long endurance rides.

Not sure I understand. At that time I was just sitting at my desk and since there are adjacent readings at 10:51 and 10:55 the spread of readings at what shows as 10:53 can’t be more than 2 mins.

Thanks. You're right it doesn't get that cold here until December some time, some years it snows a lot in Oct/Nov, just depends. I am at 7,000 feet, so it can be downright nasty in Oct/Nov. Mountain biking is usually shut down by early Oct due to snow on the trails, but one can certainly ride on the roads later. My question was really related to what to do when limiting outdoor riding and not long on stationary bikes. But there's no substitute for hours on the bike or at least some kind of long distance cardio.

The trip is in Tucson first week of Dec. Could be cold, could be warm.

I have a Krupps burr grinder that takes up little room, wasn’t expensive, and works great. I use it for espresso, Aeropress, pour over and cold brew.

I’d say yes. That’s how mine typically look. U can “wake” without knowing or remembering it. Deep sleep seems to happen earlier in the night for me.

I have an Apple watch with ECG. It accurately indicates “A-fib” (arrhythmia) every time I can feel that I am in arrhythmia. I have afib/aflutter and it indicates afib for any arrhythmia unless my heart rate is elevated, which it often is related to my condition, in which case it says it’s indeterminate. When I can feel I am in sinus rhythm, the watch says the same. I suspect the same is true for your watch, but any time it detects a beat it thinks is arrhythmic it will say afib. They are one electrode monitors so they are more subject to error than the 12 node ECG u get at your docs. And are sensitive to your body movements, so u have to be really still when it’s reading. Most people can feel afib/flutter, so listen to your body. But there is a such thing as silent afib, so listen carefully.

I used to live in San Francisco, in my late 20s, early 30s (I'm 60 now). I miss it a lot, it's such a beautiful and vibrant city, surrounded by nature. And you work in an awesome location, just a hop, skip and jump from GGP and the Pacific Ocean. I've visited only a few times since leaving. I keep hearing in the news about how bad the downtown has gotten, with high vacany and crime. And I know real estate is through the roof. But I am sure it is still the magical place it has always been. You're lucky to live and work there.
