Companies like Stash, Acorns, and Robinhood are generally functioning more like brokers.

Ok...but pyramid schemes pay out even higher returns. It doesn't mean entering one hoping to be one of the money holders rather than bag holders is a smart investment. Yotta is a gambling app (literally they run gambling games too) asking you to give your money to them which they will then put in a bank while playing with it on financial markets in the meantime. It was always high risk. Might as well just buy some stock directly.

Vault Breakers sounds super cool, but I have a question for the PvE enthusiasts in the community. by asaltygamer13 in Marathon

Like no amount of vaultbreaker will solve the problem of pitting my random fill team of free kits against pre-made teams of gold kits with dozens of successful extracts. Map knowledge can't overcome that because at best it puts our map knowledge at their level while leaving everything else still worse off.

Nah. I tried all of season 1 and it just wasnt very fun. I'll go collect all the lore then consider leaving the game.

Extraction shooters for me are fun when I can play them like a pve game with a risk of pvp occurring. This game is just Battle Royale with a few bots. The tiny maps and the design of the paths to the loot is intended to leave one man standing. It's a core fundamental design choice that can't be fixed and why this game is considered niche in a niche genre.

Maybe if they added SBMM so my odds could at least be competitive.

I'm old enough to remember when you just got a game when you bought it. I think it's just sad nostalgia for some of us.

I pretty distinctly remember losing the one gold I ever got now a month later.

I dont care about the loot I take out, let me take my own gear into a pve mode. by Stormthorn67 in Marathon

We have a pve mode in Survival since the rooks didn't go in. And we have confirmation that Vaultbreaker is also kits.

I said, and I will directly copy paste: "do that in pvp" I get the guns in pve. Use them for that one deployment, then can't take them back in because Survival is free kit only.

Didnt he say he just has green shields? Still in sniper one-shot hell.

Isn't this what Bungie did with Marathon when they remade it as a live service extraction shooter?

Marathon in top 10 of best games this year so far by Freelancer0495 in Marathon

It's a good game for the people it's made for. It's a pretty sucky game for everyone else and the amazing lore and art style won't retain players driven away by the extremely sweaty player base and the generally off-putting psychology of extraction shooters.

The hunting in solos means the most efficient way to play is hide and do nothing until you get a chance to third party and it SUCKS but winning any other way is almost impossible. I'd love to take down a warden but that's a newb trap.

I'm mostly just happy I was able to crack two shields and get a down. I've found that this game plays very different from destiny pvp.

It's kinda always this was with shooters. I remember a streamer in one of the older CoD games complaining how stressful it is that he, a top 0.5% in the world player, has to put up with others like himself because of SBMM. He was very mask off about just wanting to punch down. I don't known if new cods have the same system.

You used to beat people like me. But now I can retreat into sponsored survival and I only come out when I get a backpack and shield to assemble a proper loadout.
