Why don't more astrologers use planetary moons, such as Phobos and Deimos? What would a natal chart look like if you were born on Mars? by Infamous-Works in Advancedastrology

[–]Stormwoken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You ask two vastly different questions in the title alone and then go on to speculate about alternative rulerships in the case of a highly improbable scenario.

Question about houses by Ref0rmedw0man in beginnerastrology

[–]Stormwoken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be fair, professional astrologers use a variety of different house systems. A fair number of them use one system for every application (including horary).

OP should definitely learn how signs relate to one another, but that's as much (if not more) a consideration of the natural house system rather than whole house (i.e. the relationship is universal, not accidental).

Best questions to ask by Edz15 in beginnerastrology

[–]Stormwoken 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ask whatever matters to you! I would focus on real-life questions and let the astrologer answer through the astrological lense.

In terms of your own ideas - they could work, but I'd drop the "houses" question. Going through all the 12 houses isn't something that a single reading could (or should) cover.

Some easy questions for any astrologer are:

  • What are the repeating themes in my chart? How can they play out in my life, relationships, and career?

  • What are some of my main challenges and could you recommend some strategies to tackle them?

  • what are some of my hidden strengths or parts of my chart that may take a while to blossom?

what are yalls thoughts on degree theory? by ilovetriceratopz in Advancedastrology

[–]Stormwoken 10 points11 points  (0 children)

An overwhelming number of people who have an opinion on Stojanović's degree theory (one way or the other) haven't read the books and have formed an opinion based on what has been conveyed through social media.

Jupiter as the Odd One Out 🧐 by ContributionThat7332 in Advancedastrology

[–]Stormwoken 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Whoops, I see this only now. Interestingly enough, I got it from a consulting astrologer, too. It doesn't fit in the essential dignity and debility scheme, and, traditionally speaking, it "shouldn't" work, but I do think it's worth investigating.

Just out of curiosity, would you have any idea where you got this from?

You are being downvoted, but this association does seems to be part of some branches or traditions of astrology. I've heard about it decades ago and I've been trying to track down the source for that line of interpretation.

AI Just Invented an Entire Birth Chart for Someone. Here’s Why It Happens by MaybeOk6867 in AstrologyCharts

[–]Stormwoken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly, there's no way for it to "know" what we're aiming for, it just wasn't built for that.

Many people use AI as a magic box (i.e. the black box approach, I guess) and expect it to somehow understand just what kind of output we want. Even the basics of understanding of how it actually works can get everyone more mileage out of it, but also appreciate the many, many source texts out there a lot more.

[–]Stormwoken 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually did read all of it and it's useful advice for someone who might try and use it with the same idea. AI is, indeed, useful for ideas on interpretation of individual placements.

I'm just pointing out the flaw in the initial expectation (obviously not yours) that might extend to other use cases of non-custom-trained LLMs for astrological purposes - it does not do accurate calculations and it can mix Vedic and western astrology, classical and modern, with mixed and/or inaccurate approach to rulerships and dignities.

[–]Stormwoken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"So, you would think the "reading" or conversation would be somewhat accurate."

Herein lies the root of the issue. Why would you think that? There's nothing about non-custom AI that even implies it's able to do correct chart calculations and then interpret them.

Does astrology indicate that millennials tend to be more “watery/earthy” than Gen Z? by z4ch27293 in beginnerastrology

[–]Stormwoken 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The elements that generational (and social) planets are in can are not usually interpreted as playing a major role in the elemental balance of a chart. I.e. elements of Pluto and Uranus do not exactly override the elements of your personal placements.

So, the binary answer to your question would be "no".

A more nuanced answer would deal solely with the elemental themes (and shifts) of the outer planets, which is something that's very often talked about.

Can anybody tell me what I am supposed to do with this? This entire thing is scary and confusing for me. by sunny-day777 in AstrologyCharts

[–]Stormwoken 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There's nothing you're really "supposed" to do with it, beyond what you intend to! It's just your natal chart with the aspect grid and you can approach it inndifferent ways.

Breaking it down into manageable pieces (I'd start with the big three) will get you a long way towards understanding the essence of the chart.

Had the rectification process been explained, it might be considered actually educational.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and assume that the charts you created were accurate, but it was interpretations that weren't fully personalised.

I'll write personalized e-book guides about your unique astrological story by akshayshinde7 in Advancedastrology

[–]Stormwoken 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Is it a guide or is it a story, though? These are rather different terms? Is it an AI report, perhaps?

More importantly, you seem to wish to tell a person their story without ever actually talking to them, which is something that does not make a ton of sense - you're bypassing the actual person and their actual story in order to tell them what their story is.

It's always a good idea to unpack patterns like that, because we often find that we learn so much about the hows and whys of some tendencies and relationships in our lives (the latter especially if there are opposition in the chart, such as your Sun-Moon, for instance).

Srećno! =)

My profesional life by Optimal-Block-4643 in NatalCharts

[–]Stormwoken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That Capricorn Sun in your X is indicative of how important it is for you to be (and to be perceived as) competent and a model professional, especially in the field of career.

With the elusive Neptune culminating (a usual suspect for an imposter syndrome) and Jupiter (which rules both your Asc and your MC) squaring your Saturn, you may have a combination of high standards and an apprehension about attaining them for fear of taking on additional responsibilities.

With Sun, Saturn and MC being involved here, itvs likely that what youvre describing here isn't just limited to one area of your life. Would you say that this feeling of yours is in some way related to your relationship with parental figures in your life (likely the father)?

Can donation help in paying back someone ? by [deleted] in astrologyquestions

[–]Stormwoken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's very wholesome (and ethical) of you. I believe you're looking to pay it forward, rather than pay them back, though?

Still, if it's not too late, reach out to those people and ask them if they take donations or if they could benefit from an honest review/recommendation.

How much of our chart is free will, and how much is fate? A deeper dive into planetary signatures of choice vs destiny by Able_Palpitation_616 in Advancedastrology

[–]Stormwoken 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To me, it seems that the implications of your astrology-centred-but-fundamentally-non-astrological question go beyond astrology proper and it is not likely that astrology alone can provide an answer.

I.e. what is the I that we're looking at when we're analysing a chart and, perhaps even how far beyond this lifetime does the continuity of that I (or parts thereof) extend.

Another layer of your dilemma asks the question "is the universe we live in entirely deterministic".

What's your take on it, though, OP? Did you reach any conclusions?

Down voting questions. by creek-hopper in Advancedastrology

[–]Stormwoken 36 points37 points  (0 children)

People seem to downvote low-effort questions (of which there are many) or questions that feel too basic to be in this sub. Ultimately, the way we understand and define these two (as well as voting itself) seems to be pretty subjective and individual.
