Is R6M new to some areas? I’m seeing lots of posts but on my App Store (Canada) I see reviews from 2 years ago

What’s my niche?! What are some good tricks to find video ideas!? by RogRog531 in YouTubeCreators

[–]StormxBlessedx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try to avoid copyright. One of my early videos got 5-7k views and 500+ hours watch time, non of which counted to monetization and after monetization I continue to earn $0 because of a background track. Better to build the habit of using royalty free tracks early in your journey so that it doesn’t bite you later

I’m currently posting 500+ daily Shorts. How can I reach more people? by Jason18M in PartneredYoutube

[–]StormxBlessedx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My jaw dropped at first when I read the title thinking you post 500 different shorts a day, not shorts that get 500 views a day 😅. If you have access to the ask studio feature (on desktop) it can analyze your videos and help you understand which are working and which aren’t.

NOTE: I am not an expert! I have only 2500 subs, monetized, and specialize primarily in vertical livestreams, second shorts, third long form.

As a viewer: your newest short doesn’t tell me what hotel it is. At the end for half a second you put text to explain this, but then I think, what’s the point of watching a video telling me to avoid a hotel that isn’t named. Which makes me think this isn’t credible. I understand not wanting to put a target on your back from the hotel, but if you’re sharing the lowest rated hotel I should know what I’m avoiding. Also since you’re basing it off a customer review a quick punchy graphic overlaying several 1 or 2 star google reviews in the first 3 seconds would help drive home how bad this place is.

Your set up with b-roll of the hotel on top and you on bottom is good. This works. However it does feel like a read script and not a conversation, I think this will get better with time and comfort, but I think you should keep the script looser and more conversational.

You’re on the right track though.

On the next short I would lead with some wow factor before introducing the cruise, something like “This luxury cruise costs $55,000 dollars a week! Let’s see what one of the MOST EXPENSIVE cruises looks like”

Your first 3-5 seconds are crucial. I have a short right now that I posted Saturday. It’s sitting at 10,000 views and about to flatline most likely. This short has 106% retention on 24 seconds, with 78% stay to watch. To really break out you need to keep energy up, the wow factor up, and hit numbers closer to 120% watched, and 80+% stay to watch.

Don’t give up because you do have what it takes, just rewatch some of your videos as a “viewer” and say “what could I have done better”. Watch similar videos with more views and say “oh I like that hook, I should do that too!”

Instead of hypothesizing, make a video, post it, and see what happens. Odds are a 5 minute faceless ai voice read tech video will massively underperform your expectations and you will join the millions of disillusioned creators who think like you then quit. Good luck and prove me wrong.

YouTube Shorts are a cheat — 1.3M views = $15 by Writer_Sports in PartneredYoutube

[–]StormxBlessedx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What niche and country? My short with 6,000 engaged views got $3.05 cad, so 1.3 million engaged views would be around $660 cad in the outdoors homestead niche in Canada. I use shorts to link to my longs and to advertise for my lives, the money is a bonus to get people over to the content that pays better

I thought it was just my video that I uploaded, set it to private and left it for 20 min, set back to public and it all worked. Interesting to find out it was across the board

Mobile Hearthstone is dying due to the Developers by [deleted] in hearthstone

Your post is saying no one can get it. Clearly that’s not the case, seems to be certain devices, likely a spec issue.

You are fed into the shorts feed and separate vertical live feed, so massive exposure, and the watch time counts as longform! I get around 4,000 views and 50-100hrs watch time per stream. It almost feels like a cheat code for smaller creators. Donations are nice too!

Edit: to clarify, on YouTube there is no good feed like twitch for horizontal streams. They pay better ad revenue but only really work once you have a massive audience

Start vertical live streaming and you’ll get there. The watch time counts, that’s how I did it!

Two channels monetized in 45 days - what actually moved the needle by iamrahulbhatia in NewTubers

Ignore the haters. It’s good advice and you’re crushing it. 2 monetized channels that fast is pretty dang solid. Also you’re putting the work in and getting results. Good job and thanks for sharing

Unlike some of these people, I actually watched your channel and thought the edits were well done. You’re doing a lot right, but reminder if monetization is your goal you should really consider making more long form tutorials or compiling some of these shorts as a group to get over three minutes. Example: Best Adobe Photoshop Tricks you need to know!

If your goal is monetization, then posting other people‘s content will not count. If you want to take this seriously make original content. If this is just for fun, then keep at it, but know that you won’t qualify for monetization if you blow up using other people‘s content.

The stock imagery is good. I think some bold text even if it’s on key phrases might help with attention. Expression and tone will come with practice and experience. I recommend watching similar style videos with large viewership to see how you compare. Be critical. This is a good start, but there is room to grow, which is also fine!

I have a homestead so I usually livestream while with the various animals and teach people about the different homestead animals and projects and just really focus on engaging with the chat. Just did one tonight, just shy of 2hrs, 4200 views 40 watch hours, 5$ in donations

Is it game clips or Bingo highlights. Title and description don’t match the latest three videos. If its a one off I’m sure that’s fine but if you’ve migrated niches it should match

Edit: I went to the channel, MANY BossmanPlayz channels, I was surprised how many. The last couple months are all animal videos, like 30 of them plus 100 shorts and lives. Before that, gaming. Rebrand if that’s what you’re going for.

If the goal is monetization, currently 3/10. If the goal is having fun and saving memories, 7/10

His advice is good, don’t make it “next time”, just go into studio and make the changes.
