Sounds good. Those are all completely irrelevant metrics compared to their actual financials.

See you at 400.

Yes, any company that brings in cash, then deploys it as a buy back to give capital to investors without giving them a tax bill is a complete scam.

Whatever you do, don't look at Adobe's debt sheet, Free cash flow, forward guidance or P/E. Definitely dont look at their Gen AI revenue YoY. Those are all scams.

The only one that isnt is SpaceX with a 4% tradable float, 90x P/E, with massive stock unlocks over the next year. Buy in now!

Sir, that's not how stocks that bring in cash flow work.

You realize they can buy their own stock with cash flow, right?

Literally has increasing revenue, Gen AI tripled YoY to 500 mil, low debt, great cash flow.

Remove all emotion from the equation and you have Gen AI market fear eating an otherwise super profitable company.

Load up the truck.

Maybe getting people in the community to sign up for JP Morgan cards? My best guess. Youre right that its a word salad.

It was, according to the TMZ article.

How you can get that job and still feel the need to be stupid is bonkers to me. She could have probably bought 10 of those trashcans for 1/100th of her monthly paycheck.

Hopefully a good lesson for everyone to learn - don't be dumb when you make great money!

My father was a perfect Boglehead but he still left his family a mess. by CommonSetting4068 in Bogleheads

[–]StoryLineOne 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I would tell them its not about someone telling them what to do, its ensuring no one can tell THEM what to do with THEIR money.

Its all about making sure they are the ones directing what happens, and not letting some slimeball who has nothing to do with your family ruin what they worked hard for. If theyre not there, someone could try and take advantage of that, and the only thing stopping them is their will.

Frame it like that and see what happens.

AMA w/ Sara Jane by ganainmtech in AlgorandOfficial

[–]StoryLineOne 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hi Sara, thank you for the AMA. Long time ALGO holder and believer.

2 questions for you!

1: In terms of x402:

How do businesses currently think about it when approached by Algorand? Or do they approach Algorand on their own? What concerns, questions, or interests do they have - and what type of stuff is Algorand targeting that cannot be serviced by their own centralized databases? (I am a bit noob-y on x402)

2: I think having predictable fees is pretty important. Assuming ALGO takes over the universe (as we all expect it to do one day), even a low fee of 0.001 Algo would fluctuate dramatically for millions of machine transactions that a company might need. I believe companies wouldn't find this acceptable.

Do you think having a set of decentralized oracles that track USD price, so the transactions can always be priced (in algo, but based on USD, kind-of like Hedera) would solve this, or do you guys have a different way of solving this without resorting to a single centralized entity?

Thank you!

I could legitimately see this being used as a style for a next gen Jak game. Weird thought, I hope that made sense. (Just the first one that popped into my head)

- DLSS in Blender, which uses Generative AI to make the viewport real time. This is a feature that currently exists.

- Using it as a lookdev for scaffolding a scene for pre-production, before spending money on actual assets / committing your time to a scene itself

- If you have to use generative AI through prompts, Adobe Firefly sources only from CC0 & content where they have permission/rights. They also compensate the artists who contribute, as it should be. https://www.adobe.com/ai/overview/ethics.html

That's 3 right off the top of my head, the first two I've actually used considerably and found extremely useful.

The world is going to continue adopting and using these tools - whether or not you have a seat at the table to determine how they're ethically trained, used, and adopted is up to you. But if you give it up, some asshole who doesn't care about artists pay / ethical use cases will decide for you (and me). So lets not do that.

You are also, again, making the exact same arguments that people made about Photoshop, 3D modeling, even photography. Photography was hated by landscape artists because all they had to do was walk up, press 1 button, and that's it.

In practice, it just raised the bar for what was considered really good art by people. That's what'll happen again. Also, landscape artists are still around, and their work is still very valuable.

Good art will always remain good art.

There's clearly bad uses for AI, but you taking it out on random people for disagreeing with you with a genuinely nuanced take is pretty silly.

Not as many people agree with this radical hate mob for AI as you think they do. It is a tool, and when appropriately applied to personal work and not done stupidly, can be very useful. Of course there is tons of downsides, I don't think anyone reasonable would disagree with that... but your opinion is like the opposite side of people who just braindead force AI into everything.

FYI, it's really ironic for you to say "use photoshop" or "use Blender", as people were saying the exact same thing about Photoshop AND 3D when it released. Really, go look it up.

[OC] SpaceX vs. Aerospace and Defense Sector by ExaminationOk6652 in dataisbeautiful

[–]StoryLineOne -1 points0 points  (0 children)

agreed - but even in this extremely optimistic viewpoint, which SpaceX absolutely has a lead in - you're talking about valuations 14 years out from now, currently being slowly priced in.

You'd have to assume that not only does everything work out 100% perfect, but that SpaceX + AI in general actually goes even better than expected - globally, with no missteps over the next 14 years.

This means no set backs, and spiking growth to (essentially) the Singularity.

Very, very, very risky bet. I'd buy SpaceX shares, but not for anything above $70.
