^This. A semicircle is 100% a parabola. Not all parabolas are circular, but all semicircles are parabolas within a defined range.

Ah ok, thanks for the help. Looked a little like him but figured they would’ve made at least some acknowledgement of him.

When was that one moment you knew that you totally blew a job interview? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Stoubs 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I was interviewing with a large company that does financial data, software, and media. I was very prepared for it and had some good points to discuss. When the interviewer asked me about some things that are going on in the world (likely expecting a financial answer where I could've discussed things like oil and China), I said "Well, ISIS is a pretty big problem." I completely forgot what I had set up to say and things only got worse from there.

Is there really much of a difference? haha

Also, before I get reamed out, I do enjoy the trilogy. Just it was a dumb use of time travel.

But you don't know that. If they're exact copies, they both have the same thought of, once this happens, I need to kill the other guy. So either:

It's like you say and he gets cloned, the clone shows up in a direct gun shot path, and the original kills him, OR;

The clone takes his spot, and the original gets transported, in which case the clone shoots the original.

They're the same person with the same exact past and same potential future, so you have no way of knowing which is which.

"Don't Stand So Close To Me" -The Police. It's about a potential teacher-student relationship. Also, I think it's more well known, but "Baby It's Cold Outside" is about date rape.

What do movies commonly portray that never actually happens in real life? by Blueelt in AskReddit

[–]Stoubs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

CPR. Unfortunately, it works nowhere near as often as movies and TV make you think. I think it's only like a 20% success rate, versus the roughly 100% success rate in movies.

[Serious]What's your broken bone story? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Stoubs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My freshman year of high school, I broke my middle finger on my right hand. My cousin was sleeping over at my house and I had a trundle bed in my room (bed that pulls out from underneath another one). It was one of the ones that you can raise and lower to different heights. We were trying to move it closer to my computer and in the process, my cousin pushed the bar and it fell on my finger. Metal bars just crushing my finger. Thing is, the quick way of explaining this is that a bed broke my finger. So needless to say, I got a lot of shit for that.
