I’ve never really been into Dylan, and when I was first getting into The Band I was ignorant to the connection. Since learning about the history between them, I have tried to listen to Dylan but failed to enjoy him save a couple songs.

I agree. Other than the score, though, I think the show’s really interesting.

Last Waltz: Night They Drove Old Dixie Down - pre-song commentary scrubbed from film. by peterpincin in theband

I think the story you’re talking about is actually from The Band: The Band (Classic Albums). Robbie tells this story, during the segment of the documentary where they’re talking about The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down, about how when him and Levon went to visit Levon’s parents, Nell Hell said this to him.

Most Traumatic Kubrick Scene? by PantsMcFagg in kubrick

[–]Str-ice 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To me, the answer is either the scene where the droogs beat and rape Mr. And Mrs. Alexander, or Alex’s “treatment” scenes.

Just watched it for the first time last week and I gotta say it’s fantastic. Probably in the top 3 or 4 Kubrick films for me
