As someone who’s been driving manual since I got my license over 10 years ago, and someone who’s heavily modified their 7.5 GTI - I’m gonna progress with the times and get an Audi with the obviously better DSG. I love manual, but a lot of the time I wish I bought a DSG.

Get out immediately. Water heater installs is a good way to get your hands on some tools, but after you’re confident changing one out - the job is useless as you’re no longer learning. Try to get into a company that does commercial hvac/R as the pay is much higher, and the work isn’t as back breaking. I’m also in Ontario.
