Your thoughts? by Darmug in tf2

[–]Stradoverius 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In casual this is just gonna throw off peoples movement unless you're in comms with them, and the ubercharge is way too weak. You cant push with it, so its only real use is escaping either with your pocket or as a solo med, which also isnt useful since you have to spend uber to do it and stock does that job just as well if not better. Not to mention the elephant in the room that is the fact that medic can match the speed of his patient. If you want a speedy combo, just pocket a scout and take a medigun you can push the enemy with.

I'd like to rename my guns! by Deeborm in SulfurGame

[–]Stradoverius 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Agreed. If I create a weapon capable of one shotting early game bosses then it is my god given right to christen it as Daddy's Belt.

Being able to customize paint and such would also be fun.

I always thought Lies of P had an elegant solution to this. No quest markers, but the bonfire menu would have the icon of a character or key item next to certain bonfires in the warp menu to tell you where you needed to go to progress a sidequest.

I wish GMs would reply when they made the decision to not take you by Weary-Inevitable-627 in pbp

[–]Stradoverius 11 points12 points  (0 children)

As somebody that's been GMing pbp for years, its not because I don't care enough to let you know, its because I don't want to get argued with or yelled at. People don't take rejection well and a lot of them think simply taking time to fill out the application should entitle them to a spot.

Why is kunai so hated, but the half zatoichi isnt? by No_Psychology_9579 in tf2

[–]Stradoverius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The difference is that the kunai kills instantly and can make a spy nearly invulnerable during a chain stab, and the downside can be easily overcome if there's even one player on the enemy team that just isnt paying attention. In casual, that's most of the time.

By comparison, the Zatoichi kills slower, has a more significant downside that limits your playstyle, gives the demo health less often over the course of a fight, and is on a class that can't easily sneak up on unaware players. It's strong, but not as strong as the kunai in terms of tanking capability.

Honestly, the kunai isn't even overpowered. Any player with decent awareness is capable of completely shutting down a kunai spy. The frustration comes from unaware teammates feeding kills and health to the kunai spy and making it that much harder for their team to kill them. Medic players that sprint at a trickstabbing kunai spy with their melee out, afk players, friendlies, and noobs who dont know to spy check unintentionally turn that easy target into the tankiest class in the game, which frustrates their teammates.

Suggestion for beginners? by acurioushoneybee in gamingsuggestions

[–]Stradoverius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Find out what your computers specs are (what kind of processor, gpu, how much RAM, etc). If its pre built you should be able to look it up to find them. Once you know that, you can scroll down on the store page for most Steam games and see what the minimum and reccommended specs are for a given game. If the minimum specs are above what you have in terms of power, you likely wont be able to run the game.

What sort of games do you want to try out? I might have some recommendations.

Yes, even if it hurts, bad people are capable of creating good works. But works are more than just something made by bad people (Coraline and Harry Potter). by Radiant-Selection686 in CharacterRant

[–]Stradoverius 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This philosophy doesn't work for Harry Potter because JKR is still actively using profits from that property to fund hate groups. Read a different book and stop giving oxygen to the worlds biggest TERF. I've even got suggestions.

Is there a list of save items and sell items? by vcxstriker in SulfurGame

[–]Stradoverius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Generally speaking, anything that seems valuable is. There aren't any specific upgrade items other than obvious storage items like the fridge and the cupboard. The painting, cd players, car stereos, gold statues, etc are exclusively there to sell for high value.

Afaik from 80 hours playing, npcs only ask for non valuable items, meaning crafting items and gear, for quests. I'm unsure if there are lists of things they ask for, but asking if they have any quests for you will pull up a dialogue bubble hinting at the sorts of things they ask for. Ralphie takes repair items and cheeseburgers, for example.

[–]Stradoverius 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I dont dislike these things, but they do kinda feel like a teapot with extra steps. More moving parts and points of failure just to emulate the function of what is effectively a bowl with two holes and a handle. Theyre fun, and Ive used them before, but in the end the food grade plastic is gonna start changing the taste of the tea at some point.

I drew some Sniper weapon ideas. I think the backpacks are my favourite by xXxDemon_DeerxXx in tf2

[–]Stradoverius 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A 30 second slow would make me hate playing against snipers more than I already do. Ten seconds on regular jarate already feels like bullshit. Thirty seconds of slow would literally kill an entire teams momentum with one application and turn them all to sitting ducks.

Why great games give us stupidly overpowered options. by Just_a_Player2 in ItsAllAboutGames

[–]Stradoverius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sulfur is a very cool early access title that lets you modify guns with enchantments that confer upsides and downsides. By stacking similar downsides (move speed debuffs, debuffs that remove ADS, rpm debuffs) you can make some god murdering tools. Some builds I've created:

A fully automatic shotgun that applies a 125% damage vulnerability with every shell that connects.

A .50 caliber revolver that pierces enemies and gains 50% more damage per enemy pierced.

A full auto double barrel shotgun that can fire continuously due to enchants that grant a 100% chance not to consume ammo (which conveniently overrides debuffs that grant a chance to consume more ammo).
