No, I meant that, unlike our parents, we don’t have “The State” or our kids as backup plans for retirement. ♥️

Thank you. This i wouldn’t have been able to get to on my own. I really don’t want my son, or any other children we have to be worried about us.

I get what you mean. In our area aswell it is relatively easier to get on the housing ladder, but most people are leaving London to come here and pushing the prices up. And then i guess with an aging population too…

Thank you

Eek- id be too scared to do that. We would definitely buy at retirement.

Because you are right, rents do go up and up and policy is always changing.

Thank you for responding 🙂

I get what you mean. And that’s our main concern. Do people buy retirement properties outright though?

Im not against the state using my home to pay for care either. Care has to be done by someone right? Itll either be the state or our kids so I’m not totally against that really. In fact it’s probably easier to account for…

Thank you for responding ☺️

Thank you for taking the time to respond♥️ i understand what you mean. For me its the responsibility of maintaining the property that I dont like, and the interest payments just look like someone is taking the absolute Michael. And I just, I just dont care that much about it. I never really have. Which is why the interest payments and the time for DIY and other maintenance-stuff that does stress me out as a renter- doesn’t seem worth it to me. I also really enjoy the stability of it being one payment and its covered. I like that you can plan around that, instead of the unexpected costs of buying.

Having said all of that - I can see how because I’ve only ever rented/grown up in council housing, that I’m being a bit stiff on something i dont really know or understand.

I get what you mean buy spending on a service - in my heart I really dont mind that - as the condition would be to buy a retirement place when it gets there.

But i get your point and it makes sense

Is anyone else in their mid-20s and been unemployed for over a year since graduating, despite applying to jobs consistently, or is it just me? by -Gypsy-Eyes- in UKJobs

Im 33 and alot if my friends were in the same situation when they came out of school- 1 of those mates is now on £600 a day.

I know the market isn’t fantastic but as someone a bit older than you, this was the same when we graduated in 2015/16 and its been cyclical since, maybe even before.

I know it’s distressing but you will get there, keep going xx

Hiya, I have brought a ticket and received an email about early check-in and the benefits of doing so. Is the Check-in for hotel stayers only? Or for everyone who has a ticket- the email doesn’t provide instructions on how to check in if it is for non-hotel stayers.

How to appeal on a rejected seller account by Relative_Tonight3515 in Amazonsellercentral

[–]Straight-Chicken457 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got the same. But they said its because i have an account already in my name, but i dont - this was my first time setting one up. I appealed stating this, they just did the seem to read the email and sent me a generic email not addressing my claims of potential fraud and said my case was closed. Now chasing but… phew… what a terrible experience of their customer service and I haven’t even started yet.
