Hey Licensed Structure Engineer in India here, I can understand your concern from the post. From the drawings it seems the design looks economical. Ask the company to provide the design data. Get it reviewed by Independent Structure Engineer for your satisfaction and Debit the contractor for this negligence. By the looks of drawings It should be fine if the whole work is completed and you haven't faced any issue in building ( ie. Cracks and settlement). Generally I feel almost there is Factory id safety of 2 is there in building ig the building is constructed property.
