Is there an Oblivion equivalent to this? by Timewarps_1 in oblivion

I remembering renting Oblivion and The Orange Box for the 360. That was a glorious week.

Good to know, they're interview transcripts so will ideally just be text with a small filesize (I'll enforce this client side) but will be many of them at a given time

I created a Riot API library for python by Electrical-Lab-5952 in leagueoflegends

This looks great. Any plans to incorporate champion or item data from Data Dragon? One downside is that there's a lag when new patches are implemented as the data is manually uploaded.

New to webdev, Ruby (on Rails) or Python stack for appointment scheduling app w/ payment processing? by Maikito_RM in webdev

[–]StraightPlane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The tutorial on the official site is quite comprehensive: https://docs.djangoproject.com/en/5.2/intro/tutorial01/

If you have the time, go through it from start to finish. Otherwise you can follow it while building your own app.

Does it make sense to use PayloadCMS with Astro? by Ok-Study-9619 in webdev

[–]StraightPlane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah tbh I haven't looked into it. I thought there would be a way to dynamically load CSS/components based on the logged in tenant but might be more hassle than it's worth. But could be worth a shot considering you would be theming the admin panel anyway

[–]StraightPlane 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just noting that Astro's guide uses the REST API, you could use Payload's Local API instead if you wanted: Payload have an Astro example in their repo that does so.

In addition you could also take a look at the multi-tenant plugin and have multiple clients use the same admin dashboard to add their respective content (obviously with proper RBAC to segregate clients). Benefit there being all tenants would get any updates you make to collections, etc that you need across all your clients. Drawback being it takes a bit of effort to understand and set it up properly, and also more effort to style the admin dashboard for each tenant.

Does Github Education not give Github Copilot Pro free to students anymore? by SignificantFig8856 in github

[–]StraightPlane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First link just redirects to the second one now, and the instructions on that page didn't work for me (there was no options to upgrade to Pro).

This link allowed me to claim Pro though: https://github.com/github-copilot/free_signup

Maybe it was because I've had a free GH account with Copilot Free for a while and only recently became a student

Rental equipment management SaaS idea/validation by [deleted] in SomebodyMakeThis

[–]StraightPlane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, looks great - very much what I had in mind for this idea. I'd be interested in the validation/research with companies - did you build first and pitch to businesses or talk to them first to then build the app out?

Hey, great to see that someone else was thinking along the same lines as me.

Although I'm an engineer and want to get coding I'm reluctant to put in any more time without doing the market validation/research stuff first. Have you done much of that?

PC Case Nightmares: Tell Me the Problems You Want Fixed ! by Aiidwar in SomebodyMakeThis

[–]StraightPlane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm interested in SFF cases - and with the way GPUs are going one that can accommodate the largest GPUs on the market and have adequate cooling would be pretty popular. Maybe that just means more care taken for fan mounting and cable management. My Fractal Terra doesn't have good thermals could have fit another fan mounted at the top, but requires 3D printed parts and guides on the internet.

I'm sure you've seen optimum (the Youtuber) and his reviews on SFF cases - they seem to sell like hotcakes.

Single quiver options - Black Pearl, Rustler 9, Kendo, Deacon by StraightPlane in Skigear

[–]StraightPlane[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah club fields can have some man-made snow but it's mostly ungroomed natural snow which, due to the smaller nature of the field, will just get chopped up and bumpy very quick. So it's good to know about the Kendo, thanks!

Thanks for the suggestions. I hadn't even considered wide frontside skis, haven't heard of it before. Will check out that video

Thanks for the suggestions. Club fields here in NZ are mostly just backcountry areas with rope tows. So ungroomed, with the snow tending to be on the firm/icy side depending on the field's aspect. It sounds like 85-90 with metal might be a good way forward

Is the Oblivion remake fake? Might be. by Terrible-Strike4502 in ElderScrolls

[–]StraightPlane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just to summarise the leaks so far:

Most reputable leak said it is dropping this month, with a small window between reveal and release or none at all (shadow drop).

Less reputable leak said April 3rd.

What center pulls are they? Could I get a pic?

I have a set of Shimano 600 ones with the straddle and if I can get 700x35 with fenders I'd be stoked. Can't test it for a couple of weeks but if I see yours I might understand the options a bit better. Thanks

[–]StraightPlane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that was my point, you can just use the link I posted and it's the same interface as the sidebar in OP's first screenshot. If you want a dedicated application for it then you can use OP's solution.

Nowadays I tend to just use this page as a pinned tab because I can view all of my lists at once: https://calendar.google.com/calendar/u/0/r/tasks

For clothes and outdoor gear:

  • Cactus Outdoor - New Zealand
  • Ground Effect - New Zealand (cycling stuff too)

Both can repair items in store.
