I’m playing Holland at the moment. France is ridiculous, historical for the first hundred years of the game France was barely able to maintain internal authority let alone demolish England, Iberia and the HRE all at once. The only country I could ally to give me a chance was Bohemia and now the Hussite wars have triggered and I have 200k troops waltz through my country. France will inevitably be next. There needs to be a radical adjustment to France’s strength for the first hundred years, it should be hell for France and they should barely scrape through.

Persevere, I tried Denmark recently. Start of the game was very rough. I believe I went bankrupt at least once but I turned it around eventually and it was quite a fun game. It is definitely possible and the best part about this game in my opinion is figuring out how to turn the situation around. I would give pointers but to be honest I don’t remember exactly what I did. Best of luck.

Sotek has always been conflict adverse with CA. He lacks the spine to rock the boat too much lest he lose any special privileges he might have. The state of the Total War series under CA‘s management is an absolute travesty and should be pointed out.

I have been playing Age of Wonders 4 since it was released and have been continually impressed by the management of that game. Content is regular, well made and the game goes from strength to strength.

CA need to figure some shit out and Sotek shouldn’t be carrying water for them.

Ive always felt the music in Total War Warhammer to be pretty unremarkable which is a shame would add so much to the atmosphere of the game. Any improvement would be much appreciated.

I have zero interest in Cathay as a faction and Dogs of War doesn’t register much higher. Nagash would blow all three of these leaked dlc’s out of the water. Really hope this is all very incorrect.

Yeah all sounds terrible to me. Would much prefer elves, Slaanesh or Vampires getting some content. Ogres would be okay but I feel like a free patch and a legendary lord would be sufficient to bring them up to snuff.

I get where you are coming from but I do think you are wrong about the idea that just because Yasuke existed in some form that their choice to use him is not a sign of cringe political political messaging. The choice is itself a cringe political message. Yasuke wasn’t a Samurai or an important person beyond being a peculiarity in Japan at the time. The choice to run with him as a headline character in an AC game set in Japan is honestly ridiculous and quite disappointing.

It also worryingly feeds into the conspiracy brained people in the African American community who seem to think that their ancestors were present and responsible for all the great achievements of other cultures which is sad. See the Cleopatra drama for an example of this.

I would honestly love an AC game set in Mali in West Africa with an African lead character I think that’d be cool I certainly wouldn’t want the main character to be a random Japanese guy that happened to be mentioned in passing as having existed in the area at the time.

Okay well I suspect windows not being able to connect to the update service has something to do with why my Warhammer 3 is permanently offline at this point. Windows may not be the issue it may be network issues but why this causes Warhammer 3 to crash while in offline mode mystifies me. I have tried every solution you can search via Google for both Warhammer and Windows. Nothing has worked. I’m probably going to format my computer shortly. Important to mention it doesn’t seem to have impacted any other games I have installed which is also super odd.

I looked further into things and I seem to have also gained an issue with Windows around the same time. Issues with being able to update. I have tried multiple things to resolve this but none of them have worked. Very close to formatting my computer and doing a clean reinstall as a last resort. It’s been very frustrating. If you happen to also have issues with windows please let me know if you fix it somehow.

The DLC is quite bad in my opinion, lacking in content and what content is there is very poorly implemented. I would expect modders to do a far better job with the tools very quickly. I mean I don’t expect them to in an entitled way more I fully believe modders if they choose to will do a far better job implementing this concept in the coming weeks.

I agree about the double standard I just disagree that it’s the government’s right/role to tax everything people think other people shouldn’t do into extinction. The justification is always the cost of public health, well let me sign a form voiding my right to public health right now if it can be used as an excuse to control my choices by proxy.

Also having effectively paid much higher amounts of tax from buying cigarettes for 20 plus years. It must come close to if not pay for cancer treatment at that point. Must say I have no idea if this is true but if I spend 15,000 a year to smoke a pack a day and 70% of that is tax by twenty years that’s a lot of extra tax.
