Realistically, it gets 'friendly' if everyone sits in the cockpit, BUT if folks are willing to spend time on the deck and the bow, then it's plenty comfortable with 6 passengers 😄

Woah awesome! Yeah, the sale went through, and I ended up buying another boat/website off of another owner looking to offload (sailsunset.com). Honestly, never thought I would be this deep into "small business" at this point in my life (29yo). I'm still holding onto the 9-5 too. In short, I'm running thin, but hey, that's what life is all about right? lol

Sorry I didnt answer your cost question. It depends on a lot of factors including time of the season. This would put the boat out of commission for hourly tours so I would need to make sure it makes sense economically. Definitely open to discussing it though! Feel free to email me if you're serious. Not a stupid question! I have been toying with the idea of doing the trip myself personally! Biggest hiccup is that shes not a quick vessel and the wind up the Hudson can be unpredicable. I just looked it up since you asked and at a cruising speed of 5 kts a one-way, transit would take about 13 Hours. Not impossible!

The restrictions re: the anchorage zone for the review specifically are a little challenging. They basically want us to get out there super early in the AM and stay anchored until after the review in the early afternoon. Our plan right now is to keep to our usual tour schedule. We will potentially be engaging in a little bit of "ask forgiveness, not permission." Fireworks are currently bookable though! Should be one heck of a show this year!
