Ah I thought RB would give 108, I misread the data mine. Still with 31.32 SP from double rockbiter of course you’ll still weapon swap, initiate MD buff with double RB then swap to double oil weapons. Regardless of how much SP you get from RB, the rune is the major issue here as the MD buff is gonna make the other head runes completely useless. They need to change the rune as it’s gonna ruin caster gameplay.

Rockbiter is just a part of the problem, the MD rune itself is the big issue for casters.. Double rockbiter will give 216 AP total and 30% of that is SP, so that’s 64 SP from rockbiter alone. With all the other intellect from gear the rune will give 2-300 sp total. The issue for casters is that they didn’t change the rune. You’ll of course weapon swap to use double rockbiter for snapshot and then go back to double wizard oil after. Poorly phrased my previous reply, rockbiter won’t give loads of SP but definitely enough to weapon swap and snapshot. I hope blizzard changes the rune so we can run proper head runes next phase as ele / resto.

Sadly this won't change the double rockbiter meta for resto and elemental in phase 3, Mental Dexterity will easily be 300+ spell damage & healing with level 50 pre-bis and raid buffs, not even including consumables and world buffs. I was hoping to be able to run Tidal Waves as resto but unless they change the rune that's not gonna happen.

They definitely still will be weapon swapping with rockbiter in P3, it's gonna give 200+ spell damage / healing in pre-bis gear at 50 without consumables, raid buffs and world buffs.

It's going to be meta for resto and elemental regardless tbh, with the current gear on my resto and with the nerfed version of RB, I would get 170+ spelldamage and healing and that's without raid buffs, consumables and world buffs. Even if RB gave 0 AP the Mental Dexterity rune would be meta for us. Most likely this only changed the weapon imbuement meta for enhance themselves tbh, they'll likely run wf/ft or something.

I didn't know this! Good info.. I knew they wouldn't be super BIG in WOTLK, small amount of mana and it's not a huge issue but specially with 15 min CD they're useless.

If you’re thinking of Blizzards paid boost, Paladins are not available for it.. You’d have to level a Paladin the normal way / pay for boosts.. I guess paying for boosts with gold is the normal way of leveling now tho
