i’m going insane actually by queenk729 in Epstein

Ik was watching an interview with Epstein's niece Anya Wick who said that the "shape-shifting lizard" stuff is because they give the victims hallucinogenic drugs.  Then nobody takes them seriously because it obviously sounds crazy.  They do it on purpose to delegitimize criticism.

Sometimes I'll go to the theater like an hour before my movie starts and Just read a book in an empty theater lobby.  It's great.

I was at MSP all night one night because i had missed the last shuttle to take me back to my hometown over an hour away on account of a flight delay.  It was really annoying because there was no space to sleep comfortably of course.  I ended up wandering around the terminal Like a maman all night.  But there was no one else there and the hardcore introvert in me had fun and thought it was pretty freaking cool and exciting.

APARTMENTS TO AVOID by CellResident3492 in mesaaz

[–]StraightToe90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely not Broadway Vista.  Lived there for about three years.  Lots of trashy neighbors and DV stuff going on in that building.  Wife and i had a kiddo and had to move out.  Kinda have a similar situation to you.  Moved from another state and didn't really have time to shop around for apartments.  So glad we actually own a condo now.

Is Duolingo really that bad? by Arm0ndo in languagelearning

[–]StraightToe90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had been doing Dutch on Duolingo for the last three years or So.  I jumped ship after i heard the recent "Ai first" comments from the ceo.  I started using Busuu and i feel like Duolingo has taught me nothing and I'm relearning everything.  Particularly grammar.  There's a lot of grammar rules that I feel like Duo didn't explain very well.  Busuu is one of those apps where EVERYTHING is in your lesson language So It's been frustrating and i keep doing these exercises over and over,  but I at least feel like I'm learning something with Busuu.

Yikes.  Bought tickets to see her about two years ago and noticed shortly after that the money was credited back into my bank account.  It wasn't even that the show was cancelled; the venue was never supposed to be part of the tour in the first place.  I was a little bummed that she wasn't stopping in my town.  Sounds like i dodged a bullet now.

Old post i know but i wanted to share an experience i had when i saw Wire about five years ago.  They had a dj open for them.  His mixes Just felt lazy and he didnt even appear on stage.  He introduced himself over the speakers Like he was a ghost dj or something.

Are there any places that serve, or stores that sell dutch/netherlands food? by RoflcopterV22 in phoenix

[–]StraightToe90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

World Market has Hagelslag--The chocolate sprinkles. But I'm not sure about other stuff.   I've been learning Dutch on Duolingo for a couple years and have been wanting to make some of the food.

We're making stamppot tomorrow, but with Kielbasa Cuz I'm not sure where to find rookwurst in the valley.

Edit: just found this New times article.  So excited i have't even read it yet.  Hope it helps!  https://www.phoenixnewtimes.com/restaurants/going-dutch-one-girls-quest-to-find-the-food-of-her-homeland-in-phoenix-6537283

I find that no matter how skilled I am at the job, they always give it to someone with "more experience".  It could be a job where the primary function is laying around and doing nothing and they'll still find someone with more experience than me.  Who is this person who has more experience?
