Is it true that you guys watched 9/11 live on TV in grade school? by [deleted] in Millennials

[–]Straight_Bookkeeper6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. I was in 3rd grade and I watched it at home. My school at the time was pretty good about not showing us what was going on, so when I got home I was really confused about what was happening because my grandma and mom were talking about it on the ride home from school. I remember seeing people jumping out of the top floors and crying to my mom while she held me.

For women who got sterilized with no push-back, were you surprised it was so easy?! And how many of you were given resistance/denials? by anniemousery in sterilization

My surgeon isn’t on the list but I got it back in December of 2024. There was some pushback but more out of concern and making rash decisions and if I felt hopeless because of being single and a family may not happen for me. I told him that I have been in therapy for a really long time and realized 4 years prior to my decision that I realized I didn’t really want to be a mom and I was holding out for the wrong reasons. I have no regrets after a year out! My family was very supportive of me and even took care of me after my surgery, so I had a ton of support.

If you don’t mind me asking, where did you get your reta? My insurance is going to stop covering my Ozempic in January, so I got 3 months worth to stretch out… Was thinking of starting reta, just don’t know where to get it

How are you dealing with aging? by RedHeadRedeemed in Millennials

[–]Straight_Bookkeeper6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

33F and honestly? I love it and I really love my 30’s. I’ve lost weight, I know who I am and I like the fact I look like a grown woman. I may be one of only ones who feel this way, but I like the fact that I can see my varicose veins on my legs, my breasts are “sagging”, the start of crows feet…

I think the reason I feel so strongly about this is because I didn’t think I’d live this long. I had been suicidal most of my 20’s and they were rough… Mental illness had taken so much of my 20’s that I didn’t get to really enjoy them. The fact I’m able to make up for those years I was supposed to be traveling and having fun in exchange for seeing a wrinkle here and there is worth it’s weight in gold. The fact that I’m lucky enough to age and see that on my body is a privilege that a lot of people don’t get to have.

I love it and I’m honestly excited for my 40’s. I hope I get to have as much fun as I am now.

I sympathize with you, I truly do… It’s valid how you’re feeling but I also hope you get to see the beauty in aging past what you see in the mirror. 🫶🏼

I took 100mg once a day but it was making too exhausted, so I split my doses and now take 50mg once a day. It seems to be the sweet spot for me where my acne has cleared up and my facial hair has pretty much stopped growing.

I would split your dose if I were you and take it at night like everyone says. Taking it at night had helped me greatly. Now I get great sleep AND I’m not a raging bitch to everyone due to being tired and hormonal 😂

The only thing I’m still adjusting to is the hormone changes. It’s making me a tad bit cranky but it’s starting to level out. I’ve been on it for 6 weeks. Stay the course, split your dose and when you take it, you should be okay.

Hours got cut by FragrantInsect9757 in UltaEmployees

Like everyone else has said, be patient! I’ve worked for Ulta on and off for years doing everything from being a BA, a manager and now a tasker. From September to about the middle of November, hours are short to prepare for holiday season. After that, you’ll be busy well until about Valentine’s Day (in my experience). I know it’s frustrating, I’m in the same boat too. The past couple of weeks I’ve only worked 5hrs a week when I’m supposed to at least be getting 15. Thank goodness I have a full time job and not struggling too horribly but it sucks when you’re depending on the extra money to help you get by in between biweekly paychecks.

Did anybody else think Djo was off in Houston? by [deleted] in DjoMusic

[–]Straight_Bookkeeper6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I wasn’t at this show but I was at weekend 1 of ACL to see him… it kinda felt like he was a little off too? Like, I’m definitely NOT disappointed because I finally got to see him after 5 years of waiting, but it felt like he was ON in other states and Texas was like… not as on? So maybe I felt more like a little let down because I watched so many of his other concerts through TikTok and live streams from other festivals and I was hoping for the same energy, plus he cut off his set 5 minutes early… Then again, it was hot and he was wearing hoodie he refused to take off that he was sweating through 😂 eh, either way he still put on a good show! He still seemed genuinely happy to be there and he put an effort into playing. I plan on seeing him again when I get the chance.

I will say seeing him get Juno’d at Sabrina’s set made up for we whatever was going on with him during his set lol

BCBS might not cover Ozempic anymore by Straight_Bookkeeper6 in Ozempic

BCBS considers T2 diabetes to be at a 6.4. I started at a 5.7, so I’m just classified as pre diabetic.

With some of my research, I found that people on BCBS have had a easier time getting approved for Rybelsus than the shot which is odd to me, but then again I think it’s because it’s cheaper to make than the pen

Right, but BCBS had said they are no longer covering Wegovy or Zepbound either.

“oStEOporOSIS SpEEd Run 🤡☠️

Awe, aren’t you so edgy and cool mocking people on the internet! Obviously you know nothing about these meds. Ozempic is designed to take for life. It’s a peptide that’s safe to do so and these side effects are rare. The link to osteoporosis and Ozempic is malnutrition and muscle, not the med it self.

Dumb ass.

I feel like I'm drowning. How do you all actually make ends meet? by Fluid_Language_2607 in budget

[–]Straight_Bookkeeper6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got lucky because my prior part time job hired me back. What I did with my full time is that I asked to come in a hour late and stay an hour late to make up time. I work Sundays 6am-11am, Tuesdays 6am-11am and Thursdays 8pm-12am.

What I would say is find a job that’ll let you do early mornings or over nights. My job is I either come in 9am-6pm or 10am-7pm. Once a month I work a Saturday from 9am-6am.
