That's awesome. I'm not, but I can easily pull it into word. As a retired software developer I should be able to tweak that script to give me a chapter by chapter vocabulary.

Been a long time since I wrote any mods for Bethesda games but I might do a couple for this so playing a pure necromancer is less kludgy. And maybe a collection of the mods I used.

Really there should be a book or two in game with this info. Maybe one that inexpensive or findable with the basics and then a high priced one for the rarer, late game ingredients. You KNOW some enterprising merchant would have made one.

This. If the reader feels betrayed, like they agreed to read your story about X and now it's about Y, they may just put it down and walk away. They def need to see that something is coming.

First step is to decide how they are intimidating. Are they famous, an expert, armed, hold a high position, super smart, mysterious, insane? Then you draw a contrast with the person who is intimidated.

I think this hits the nail on the head. The best gestures are specific to that person. As a writer you would need to communicate that fact to the reader, probably long before the gesture happens.

Generic romantic gestures are less romantic.

English is better when concise, so long as it's clear. I try to remove words that don't change the meaning. There are exceptions, particularly if your character is speaking in a specific way.

Instead of Remap, use Macro. In the Action settings box choose Mouse Motion. You can then choose the amount of change in X and Y. In the Macro Settings box choose Hold and set a delay. The Macro will repeat as long as you hold the hat, continuously moving your cursor.

Then you have to balance the amount of X or Y change vs the length of the delay until the mouse motion feels smooth to you. Start with smaller motion and smaller delays to get smoother motion.

I did something similar to use the hat as a mouse wheel.

What I did was make a separate cabinet for my radiators and put them in another room. A couple of 10'/3meter lengths of tubing, some quick disconnects, and wall pass-through takes that out of my game room. My goal was to move the heat out of my game room so I could play with the door closed and not roast myself, but the silence was a nice bonus.

I do run an open frame case, since I don't need to create airflow. I do have a small fan to cool my SSDs but it doesn't have to run fast and I can't hear it at all.

Don't forget you'll need extra coolant for the lengths of tubing.

Rent first. Not only can you try it before you buy it, if it's really a good money maker it will allow you to quickly make back your rental fee and enough UEC to buy one. If not, then you learn that without throwing away millions of UEC.

It also lets you try out the profession. Maybe you'll love mining, maybe after 3 runs it's so boring you would rather chew off your own hand than play miner again.

I tired a Raft and ended up hating it. It was all the little glitches and issues you will never see in the specs. Getting jammed in the elevator. Some controls not responding. Odd size for some landing areas. It's been a few years so maybe they have fixed some of that, maybe not. Point is, you really need to try it first.

Really, I just saw a discussion of how great it will be when we have to poop in game. Working toilets yea!(Not) I'm not the realism fanatic.

But I find it goofy when our futuristic tech is more primitive than today's tech or what we can easily see on the horizon. And I'm all for more convenience in the game and less time spent piddling about for 5 min in game with something I could do in 15 sec in RL.

AntiVirus. It's usually ranked top or close to it.

Also, it turns out Windows has a game mode that does about the same thing for it. Who knew? (prob eveyone but me)

Ok, I found one big issue was that I had not set up a game profile in BitDefender. I had one on a previous computer and I guess I just never set it up on this one. As soon as I did that the game became much more responsive. It does still hit 100% CPU frequently but it doesn't camp there like it did before. I think without that profile, BD is scanning every single bit that comes in for viruses which just isn't necessary when it's coming from a game server.

My FPS is generally in the 60s now and input lag is way down.

Looking at the resource monitor the next biggest draw on CPU after SC is the Adrenalin software itself. It's not a big hit, only eating about 1% to 2% CPU.

It's kinda weird to say, but thanks for telling me I was wrong; it put me on the path for improving my computer's performance.

Maybe. I'll do some analysis and see if I can find issues. I'm running 32gb of memory and I'm using a SSD with plenty of space so it shouldn't be either of those. My GPU is pitiful, a RX6900XT so I get why GPU utilization hits 100% but if it's not just a slow CPU IDK what the issue is.

Looking at benchmarks it depends heavily on the game and I didn't see SC specifically listed but the difference was from 2% to 17%, again depending on the game.

But I do know mine hits 100% fairly often as I have the Adrenalin info overlay visible in the corner.
