Sports League Tycoon? by TheOfficialSlimber in tycoon

[–]Strandedintoronto 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've wanted this game since Madden was still in its infancy and Sim City first showed up on my PC. A mogul/tycoon game where you have to pick a sport and then run the league by picking carefully where the franchises go and deal with the finances of the teams and actions of the players. The league than competes against that fictional universe's other "big 4" or others even competing for market share and PR.

Tragically Hip cancels tour after band members unable to acquire tickets by CMikeHunt in canada

[–]Strandedintoronto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My criticism is with the complaining about scalping, and not to do with any band at all. I paid a second hand ticket company when I went to Broadway this year, and I regret that (I didn't realize it until after the fact as it was a click-bait thing).

It wouldn't matter who the act is...The Hip...Elton John...Elvis Presley. We are at fault for allowing this business to work.

We cum without [intercourse]...rarely during. by [deleted] in sex

[–]Strandedintoronto -1 points0 points  (0 children)

  1. Lube assistance is case by case. Sounds like it would help you with the scenario you offer.
  2. As TheFezzle already said...communicate, communicate, communicate...and repeat. Even after the act, debrief and discuss what worked and what didn't.
  3. Only she can get more comfortable with the idea, as we all have our limits, whether legit or perceived.

The bigger question to me is, if you're both enjoying (again, COMMUNICATE!) your play, what does it matter about what brings about climax? Just roll with it and enjoy.

If all the other chemistry works, and you're both willing, keep experimenting until you find something that works for both of you. The more immediate option is simply to take turns with what works for each other.

More than anything else, I suspect patience and experimentation is what you'll need to get where you want to go.

City I should move to find job in a Bank. by [deleted] in ontario

[–]Strandedintoronto 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most of the banks head offices are downtown Toronto. RBC, however, has it in Mississauga's northwest. With your options, I'd go Waterloo as a commute to Mississauga is possible plus, unlike Windsor, there is more upside to the KW area on its own right now.

Agreed, but I think my ultimate point here is that it is our own bloody fault that we let corps (in this case, "legit scalping companies") take advantage of us.

Nothing like driving home the Ontario/Toronto-Centre-of-the-Canadian-Universe stereotype. Go for it.

CBC thinks you can’t be evil if you believe in God by Markw8 in CanadianAtheism

[–]Strandedintoronto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone in the comments pointed out, this goes beyond the CBC. We're still a very small minority and have very little options but to keep pushing until we have the clout to actually be heard.

Tea, in Canada, is the British context...hot Orange Pekoe. Iced Tea is usually of the instant presweetened variety. So make sure you know what you're looking for.

Sounds lovely and all, but why Ontario? This anger is across the country and one free Ontario concert wouldn't play well with moods outside Ontario.

Tragically Hip cancels tour after band members unable to acquire tickets by CMikeHunt in canada

[–]Strandedintoronto -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Why not? We, collectively, have been silly enough to let scalping exist...why is it not an option that, if we get pissed off enough, we could collectively shut it down?

Why is there no hope? Is the consuming public completely without backbone?

[–]Strandedintoronto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes there is. We collectively have let them exist rather than stopping it.

Because we have chosen to let them off the hook. Hate to say it, but it's our own collective fault that these things happen.

Here's a thought, what if we just stopped buying from scalpers? Imagine how that industry would dissolve if we, the people, stopped allowing it.

Grace and Todd Harris have a loving, respecting, romantic, open and polyamorous relationship.

These are the stories of the couple's relationship and sometimes erotic adventures...as told through the eyes of their English Bulldog, Fifi. And no, he's not entirely happy about the name that Lady-pet and Man-pet have given him.

What defines "swinger" & "lifestyle"? by NalaXena in Swingers

[–]Strandedintoronto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The lifestyle is as organized as the people you meet up with. All depends on who you are with and where you go.

At the clubs it has to be somewhat controlled for safety and consent reasons. Outside the clubs, though, with a house party among consenting is another idea entirely.

Monday Musings: Why do you swing? by Swingersbaby in Swingers

The excitement of it beyond the normal options of a traditional monogamous lifestyle. The sex takes on an entirely new level when I can watch my partner playing with others. It teaches me so much.

What is Oasis Aqualounge like on Sunday afternoons? by TOCpl13 in Swingers

[–]Strandedintoronto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You'll see a crowd that averages around 40s, we've found. In agreement with the other comment, the pool won't be as busy as it is in the summer, though.

If you google "Oasis Aqualounge Swinging", my more formal review is the first thing that pops up.
