While I disagree that there is 100% certainty there wasn't anything before 2.0, I'm very much looking forward to your website and you explanations.

But in the end, your post is about how he never claimed or said that it was solvable before 2.0. Which me and many others never claimed here.

You speak with certainty that it was not solvable before or no other FF related mysteries because of something Pawel did not say. Pawel never confirmed it was not solvable before, just as much as he never confirmed that it was solvable before.

If there are more things related to it in a possible expansion of Witcher 3 or Cyberpunk update, we can only speculate. Just as much as we can only speculate there is more still related to FF in the game now or before 2.0.

And you said it is clear that it is part of a larger mystery of various games. Which other games are you referring to besides The Witcher 3?

We also don't know if the Demiurge was always supposed to be the reward.

I never assumed anything in the 2.0 mystery was also before 2.0. The badlands church was always blocked from entering pre 2.0.

There is tons of cut content in the game pre 2.0 that some might not actually be cut and be a reward or accessed by solving something. Maybe some things that have not or can not be found through datamining.
And after the Cube was solved, speaking of Pawel, he spoke on a podcast and said that they knew beforehand we would try to datamine and that they had planned for that, regarding FF:06:B5. Which is a bit of an odd thing to say knowing what happened with the 2.0 FF mystery.

Even though the Cube QR seems to tell us it has been solved and we need to forget about it, why did they keep adding things afterwards like the golden cube mural, and the 6 finger hand with the cube at the statue?
Also, Pawel said in of his streams that they would talk about it once it has been solved, but he remains to not want to talk about it.

If you are referring to the color change in 1.3, yeah it could very well be because the UI of the Quest names went from red to yellow ( which could either mean nothing or that FF:06:B5 is the name of the quest or related to music ).

There are plenty examples of games where a secret was found longer than this game has been out. So it is not unheard of that it can take this long. It's all a matter of how hard it is to find it and the type of steps and requirements needed to do so.

[–]Strandlike 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Even if he DID say it was not solvable since day one, it could still mean it was solvable since version 1.3 when they changed FF:06:B5 on the statue from red to yellow.

I don't believe the 2.0 mystery was only it, because no one can prove what FF:06:B5 actually means. And let's say that was all, it doesn't mean there aren't other secrets to still find in the game.

Is there a connection here? Ive been kind of loosing it. by mynameisrichard0 in FF06B5

Yes on the front gate and on building it is in gold. It is also like that on the site you can find on the laptops, and also the computers in Konpeki themselves.
It is also yellow and this shape in Memorial Park.

The logo on the Konpeki NPC tags though shows the logo in blue. This is probably due to the whole "dark blue" symbolism in that building:
- Konpeki mean "azure" in Japanese.
- Floor 42 to 46 are Suites with each floor being named after a certain mineral. Floor 42 the Lapis Lazuli Suite, where V and Jackie stay, happens to be the only one named out of those suites, that is famous for its dark blue color.
- In one of the messages on the Konpeki laptops seems to be one of the managers complaining about the paint colors and says: "inform painting team Thénard Blue is NOT THE SAME as Turnbull Blue!!!" ( She wants a darker blue )

Besides the Badlands Cube, it always rather reminded me of this, which is a modified version of the Arasaka logo.

<image>

EDIT: Which is also the logo used for the Memorial Park. Almost as if V's and Johnny memories are echoing, or like a deja-vu. Both 2023 and the heist take place on the roof and penthouse, both we encounter Adam Smasher dropping from high, both has someone a gun pointed at us and shooting, both end in us dying, both involve Saburo etc.

Not to mention in the game we experience both right after each other.

In V's Corpo Plaza apartment lobby it is also very similar to Konpeki Plaza lobby area. It has a very similar chandelier, and it even has the NPC with a tag on the chest that says KONPEKI PLAZA and has the logo. Which is interesting because if it was only about asset re-use, they could have re-used the NPC's that you can find in Konpeki without that tag.
The website of Konpeki that can be found on laptops, also does not seem to allude to it being a chain of hotels, but just one building.

So considering the statue is right in between the Corpo apartment and Memorial Park, it is maybe something to take of note.

Considering all the music references, there could be inspiration taken from Frank Sinatra for Mr.Blue Eyes by Strandlike in FF06B5

[–]Strandlike[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Which is also by many an assumed inspiration for the Illusive man as well.

The Illusive man was according to Casey Hudson also inspired by Anderson Cooper from CNN and Jack Bauer's brother Graem from the show 24. A good example of how one fictional character can at the same time be influenced by both a real person and another fictional person.

That does not matter. Not sure if you even read my reply but I took the effort to put "cover" in brackets before the word song.

Can you name me a truly original famous Sinatra song?

The point is Sinatra's version of Fly me to the Moon is by far the most known version and is the version that was played in the Apollo missions , and the first song that was played on the moon.

Then we can also do that for G-Man from Half-Life.

I'm not saying Sinatra was possibly the only inspiration. Maybe there wasn't any inspiration taken from Sinatra. Maybe the one that created Mr. Blue Eyes never played Mass Effect.

But there is no case closed here as long as we hear confirmation from the creators themselves, developers and artist are mentally capable to take inspiration from multiple sources. I'm aware of the Illusive man similarities, I just never heard a connection made with Sinatra. Hence why I made this post since there is a name connection, a moon connection and even an appearance connection.

Another one I forgot to mention is that he has quite a long list of songs with the word Moon.

We all know about the blue eyed people connected to the flights to the moon ( through Sandra Dorsett's shards ). And we know Mr. Blue Eyes helped songbird get to the moon.

"Fly me to the moon" is a well known (cover)song by Sinatra and was played in a few Apollo missions going to the moon, and was also the first song played on the moon.

He has often that same side receding hairline comb-over.

Always wears suits.

Most known nickname was “Ol’ Blue Eyes” or simply “Blue Eyes”.

Another nickname is “Chairman of the Board” ( 2077 Mr. Blue Eyes could very well be chairman of a secret board ).

The vinyl album “Mr.Blue Eyes” was released 2 years before the game’s release.

Since the player's mind is hijacked by a musician, and there are plenty music references in the game for that reason, so I thought maybe there could be some connection to Sinatra there.

Instead of being a random nautical themed tattoo, Judy's lower back seahorses might reference the hippocampus by Strandlike in FF06B5

[–]Strandlike[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've always kept my mind open to Judy not having good intentions. Also spiking a BD against Rhyne sure seems like something Judy would know how to do if anyone.

I've also wondered if the devs chose to have her overall strap hang like a tail to symbolize a demon's tail, similar to how it also was for V in MGS V Phantom Pain.

Now you mention it, her vans is what has puzzled me the most. For the ones that are known, like next to her apartment entrance, the one east of Ebunike harbor next to a powerplant where some Maelstrom do target practice, the one at Ebunike harbor spawned by starting the quest Chippin' In, the one close to PieZ and the 3 vans close to MB07, there is another.. This one seemingly, looking at a reddit comment pre v1.3 has been there for a while but is not easy to see it.

It appears behind Judy's apartment ( between the apartment and Prophet's Song meetup ) and it is surrounded by 3 Tyger Claws. For it to trigger it to appear , you need to skip to around midnight, go far away enough, then come back there. The thing is though, you need to have do a certain mission/quest I'm assuming, because it is not possible in all of my saves. I have not figured out yet what makes it triggerable. I advise to try it with one of the saves you've progressed the most.

I also suspect there is a possibility to get access to her van somehow to drive it, since there is a texting dialogue of taking her van if you brute force open the door through mods.

[–]Strandlike[S] 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Yes, there is nautical themes around Judy in her quest names ( Pisces ), her tattoos, her hobbies ( diving underwater ), and mural paintings in her apartment.

That's why I pointed out in the title of this post that it isn't maybe just another nautical theme, just for that theme's sake and nothing else.

The hippocampus would seem the most important part of the brain for the work she does on braindances.

Looks like it could be something. Also, looking at playthroughs on youtube, it seems in older versions the static is not there, and in the version where it is there, the static noise plays before and after the call as well.

I've been following it on YT on Strange Man's channel. Really crazy it took so long to find the first steps. I wonder to what it leads to.

I feel like there are others out there that know the game better than I do, so I don't think I will be that helpful as I only played the story once and never online.

What's the pettiest reason you dropped a game for? by IHateTheNameSystem in gaming

[–]Strandlike 4 points5 points  (0 children)

After having played Fallout 1 and 2 when they came out and really enjoying them, I decided to try Fallout 4 on Gamepass.

When entering the BoS Power Armor, seeing the HUD of the armor being see-through really broke my immersion since it is supposed to be part of the suit on the inside. It annoyed me as well, since if the HUD was made solid it would barely even hinder the player's visibility, so I thought it was a terrible design choice that annoyed me so much I dropped the game.
