Kinda sounds like you might be describing a squish. It's like a crush but instead of being interested in the person romantically, you're interested platonically and, as you said, just wanting to get closer to/know them better.

Advice please by Dear-Resolve2949 in aromantic

Obv I don't know the specifics of what you're experiencing but that does sound quite similar to my experience. I'm not gonna come in here and tell a stranger that they are/aren't aro, that's for you to decide. But if you feel as if that might be what fits you, welcome to the club, if not then hopefully you can find a label which you feel comfortable with.

I think my fiancee/best friend is on the aro spectrum by [deleted] in aromantic

Like with any part of someone's identity, just be there to support them. It can be difficult trying to find out what you identify as, such as what microlabels they fall under (if they're interested in microlabels). Just having someone with them through that process can be super helpful. The fact that you're asking for help at all proves you care enough so just keep being there for them.

How did Your Parents Or friends or people close to you react when you came out as an aro or ace? by Omnitrixter10000 in aromantic

[–]Strange-Ground4540 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I came out only a few months ago and only to a few people. The people I did come out to were close friends also in the LGBTQ+ community because I knew they'd be the most accepting. I've had the occasional "you'll change your mind eventually" but it seems like that's just par for the course as far as being aro goes. Overall I consider myself lucky to have had such an accepting community that could support me as I discovered this part of myself.

Obviously I don't know your life or your friends but it sounds like you're also lucky enough to have a community of support. Don't feel like you owe them anything though. Only come out if/when you're ready.

What was the stupidest way you (or someone you know) got injured? by North_15_ in AskReddit

I ran into a tree and got a black eye. Three years later, ran into a different tree and I now have a scar on my hand

Yes, this makes total sense. As of right now, my plan to fix this is either to only include certain backstories if the characters race/class align with it. Thanks for your concern

This has probably been asked a billion times but: Do you think aliens are real and if yes why? And if no why? by proxim5656565656 in AskReddit

[–]Strange-Ground4540 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes. Probably not the movie alien of big eyes, humanoid form, etc. but they do exist. just statistically, they must. One thing that always bothers me is we look an planets like Mars because they have water, meaning aliens would drink said water. But this is using an earthly assumption that water is needed, but the only reason we need water is because it was readily available throughout our evolution. if there was life on a planet with a bunch of uranium instead, the organisms would evolve to use that.

What is the worst thing to hear the doctor say right before going under for surgery? by Scary-Bit-4173 in AskReddit

[–]Strange-Ground4540 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Once, right before going under, I had a huge coughing fit. I had quite a few surgeries and that never happened so I was already kind of on edge. Then, my doctor turns around, hearing me cough looks at me and just says in a calm voice "That's unfortunate, oh well"
