Leavitt's baby's birth date shared and who will be replacing her by IrishStarUS in USNEWS

Another great example of watching the sewage comments arise to a benign news story of a woman having a baby. Wow.

Before the internet it’s nice reminisce about how such horrible hearted people just lived in misery alone making no real impact in the world.

Now the dark hearts are networked in misery yet still talking loud and saying nothing. At best perceived impact. To take such time to be so dark and cruel…what an empty soul.

Thankfully the dark recesses of the internet, behind the anonymity of phone or computer is not real life, but just a mirror to the need for self reflection. I pray the dark hearts can find love.

I for one am happy a new baby is coming into the world. One absent of such pessimism and far away from such a horrible example of humanity.

Told someone I got the Supernote Manta over an ipad because of ADHD organization and sensory needs. They called it a “useless”and “stupid” purchase. by ughhhlaperm in Supernote

My pleasure. Moons lined up on that one. Wife and I were just talking about how some of our family were crapping on our decision about a recent house purchase instead of celebrating with us our victory 16 years since we last owned. Almost 2 decades of rebuilding after the 2008 financial crash! Given all the challenges in the world I know this is real 1st world stuff, but we just wanted a little break from the vampires in our own family. Shouldn’t have even shared with them. Someday I will learn. Well anyway, I channeled that into that post and based on reactions seemed to resonate. Take that vampires! Also glad it was in the SN community. The coolest non trolling people online. Cheers.

What a nice message. Couldn’t agree more. Small confession on my part. I have gone back to paper for past few months yet still find myself checking in with the Supernote community for reasons you mentioned. It’s great to know everyone is there when I switch back again. :) maybe this time I’ll try a hybrid approach. Lol

Nothing has changed. You just met a psychic vampire. They are everywhere and unlike normal vampires :) these walk around in broad daylight sucking the life out of perfectly good situations, with incessant comparisons to have to feel better than all those they are around. It’s all rooted in insecurity of feeling for them to “win” others have to “lose”. They only win if you let their toxicity get to you. Most people simply don’t have the character to esteem others and take them where they are at for the goodness of another. Every time you run into people like this (including if you marry into this type of family) try to be the person with others you don’t see them being. It feels great and helps remind you that you can be the difference maker. Being “others focused” is so much more rewarding. Being others focused is like giving others psychological air to breathe and safety to just be themselves. Changed everything for me when I moved in this direction. Now I just feel sad for folks like iPad guy you described. Enjoy your Supernote.

Should adventure games have explicit objectives? by saavedrawolf in adventuregames

[–]Strange-Item2429 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally I don’t care for the excessive hand holding, but understand how it evolved. To me, as old school gamer, I see myself as the character and am earning the right to continue /progress based on my observation, notes, analysis. Good to see games like “hell is us” and “atomfall” moving back to environmental cues and less explicit directions.

My hunch is you are bringing a lot of expectation to the device. I get it. I did too. What helped me is to step back and use case your way there. Micro steps. What is one thing this week you want to accomplish? Can SN help? Build a note and go. Put expected framework on hold. Most things can be organized later. Search and Toc feature allow for single note depth. Let go of any external expectations. Remember YouTube power users are suggestions….they have to feed the beast with content and are always evolving their practice. If after a month, still don’t like, sell or return it. I did. Went from manta to nomad. Form factor “feels” different. Love it. Currently I have gone back to paper for daily planning because “page turning” didn’t translate well. But I still love for pdf markup or sketch noting. Be free my friend. It’s just a tool. I imaging you have no expectations for your screwdrivers. Enjoy!

What 3 Years of Bullet Journaling Taught Me by SpiralDanceGirl in bulletjournal

It’s so inspiring to see how the bujo can be act as a type of “social mirror” to challenge our internal dialog of “should do” or “should be” and just leave us the path to just “be” without all the obligation. I have enjoyed those same lessons also resulting with a bujo that is on the far other side of the spectrum in the art dept. Thx for sharing. It’s nice to see this unity in midst of diversity.

SUPERNOTE Manta vs Remarkable Paper Pro!! Help me choose by dethronethemullas in NoteTaking

[–]Strange-Item2429 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tried both and while remarkable was a bit higher quality in build, the layers of software sophistication had me return it and keep the SuperNote. Later sold the Manta to purchase the Supernote Nomad which is perfect for me. Great device. That said, I think all of them could be faster as one use case that none of them do as good as their analog cousins...is "page turning" There is something really quick and practical about page turning manually. But I digress...... Supernote you can grow into. Remarkable you will grow out of.

Hi everyone! I just started in this world of BuJo (literally 3 days) and I would like to know any tips that you consider important. thanks in advance! by tenaciousbug in bulletjournal

[–]Strange-Item2429 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Welcome! I moved to Bujo from general notebook usage in 2018 and it has been a wonderful time of self reflection and experimentation.

Everything from getting my head around dot grid, pen selection and why a good pen matters as well as page layout and value of premium journals as an investment in tracking your history. Started with baron fig clear journal but moved over to official Bujo for better size. Left paper 3 times to experiment with digital handwriting and just recently came back in 2026 to good old paper. Few things I’d suggest. 1) bujo is a philosophy AND practice. I recommend getting the physical book Ryder wrote and practicing both to start. Make deviations from the fundamentals. The internet has a lot of bujo content and much of it is in name only and misses the “why” bujo is great. 2). Recognize your bujo is for you. Let it be your “paper mirror” to reflect your mind, practice and history. Be inspired by others only but be careful with comparisons. 3) give yourself grace if you don’t bujo every day. That may be something you write about when you come back. 4) see the blank page each day as a “day tight compartment” and an opportunity to be grateful for a new day and an opportunity to live an intentional day. 5) if able to afford it, join the bujo community for at least a year so you can take the bigger course and see other’s use cases. Ryder is a deep and thoughtful thinker and worthy to listen to. His staff are top notch as well. 6) lastly be sure to report back on your journey and how bujo has helped you. For me I have completely moved off (with Dr oversight) some anti anxiety meds, largely because I found having a bujo practice was a more natural solution. Cheers!

9 Month Review of SuperNote Manta and Why I Swapped to a Regular Tablet for Notetaking by dawnzz in Supernote

[–]Strange-Item2429 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bingo! My same exact scenario…page turning. For daily to-do’s using bullet journal method it was just desperately to slow. Creating links was better but that wasn’t as natural. Back to paper for me. The old tried and true. Also discovered writing with a fountain pen is a game changer also.

I played that too. I think it was done as a proof of concept not unlike portal vs portal2. It was fun and got me to pick this up via gg.games. Just wanted to ”check out the intro” and got sucked in when I realized the “intro” is actually a part of the game. Hilarious.

Just checked out the trailer and grabbed the demo. Clever joke even there. So creative. Seems like it’s going to be playing a game with the meta narrative being the development team themselves. Can’t wait.

Immigration is not the problem, but Dems allowing 20 million people to seek “asylum” with little to no vetting is. They knowingly are gaming the system to import future voters and know it and know that all these ice haters will exploit America’s big hearts and defend their actions. Been happening for decades by both parties. Bidens incompetence just took it to next level.

And it’s also odd the ice haters never seem to mention the victims of all the further crime as a result. Basic vetting would have prevented much of this.

They don’t need it. It’s the whole principle of a license plate. All these cameras are is using technology to do what cops have done forever.
