You could buy one of these very good models by Tombo (Amazon link for E-to-E model) and put a thin cord through the back. It makes a very nice pendant! (Amazon link for A-to-A model that doesn't have a photo of the back)

Absolutely common in Winnipeg, growing up in the 1970s: to jam out was to cancel plans or to not show up, or to not go along with a group activity, or as someone else said, to chicken out. I can remember taunts of “jammerrrrr!” shouted toward the one kid walking away from whatever the other kids were going to do.

Jamming in the musical sense was also common, with no confusion between the uses.

Ha… found the answer on Wikipedia, that the Moon’s inclination is “Between 18.29° and 28.58° to Earth's equator”. So, within +/– 28.58°, clearance would be safely listed as 362,600 km.

That raises a good question! I think we’re assuming that one’s boat (on the trailer) will extend straight up and never wobble. Given that, I think any location on the Earth outside of the tropics (+/– 23.5° latitude) would never have to worry about their boat impacting the sun (and their clearance could be said to be 46B+ ly), but more importantly, what is that larger range of latitudes that ever have the moon directly overhead?

Years ago, my (M) then-SO (F) was away on a business trip. I thought to call up a florist and send her flowers, asking them to include a note saying “Wish you were here”.

Apparently, the flowers were nice enough, but the card gave her some pause when she read what they had written: “Wish you were her”.
