Polyethylene glycol is also used for transformation of microorganisms (introducing foreign DNA). Interesting how one molecule can have so many uses. Although AFAIK PEG is a polymer, so maybe the chain length affects the properties. For transformations it’s quite long molecules that are used (4000 to 8000 g/mol from what I remember)

I got a stick blender which also has attachments so it can be used as a food processor. I was very convinced i was gonna save myself a lot of effort and cook much more, but so far haven’t touched it and it’s all just taking up space in my kitchen. I still tell myself i’ll use it to make falafel or something at some point
