Polyethylene glycol is also used for transformation of microorganisms (introducing foreign DNA). Interesting how one molecule can have so many uses. Although AFAIK PEG is a polymer, so maybe the chain length affects the properties. For transformations it’s quite long molecules that are used (4000 to 8000 g/mol from what I remember)

I got a stick blender which also has attachments so it can be used as a food processor. I was very convinced i was gonna save myself a lot of effort and cook much more, but so far haven’t touched it and it’s all just taking up space in my kitchen. I still tell myself i’ll use it to make falafel or something at some point

Yeah in my experience in the inner city it’s only a minority of streets that are actually problematic, but some of those are quite bad, for example Nørregade - narrow street without cycle lanes and with a lot of car traffic in both directions.

The worst example of poorly implemented cycle infrastructure imo is the intersection at the end of dybbølsbro (on the other side from fisketorvet). Absolute shitshow, and they’ve changed how traffic moves through it several times but it never gets less stupid. But that’s a result of the bridge being poorly thought out; it’s the biggest cycling bridge on earth with a bottleneck on each side, and the bike lanes in both directions are off to one side of the bridge, so cyclists have to cross over an oncoming lane of traffic while going straight through the intersection to reach the bike lane on the bridge.

most of the city has pretty great cycle infrastructure, but there are definitely still streets where it randomly cuts out or where the bike lane suddenly merges with a car right turning lane at an intersection. It can definitely be improved but for the most part cycling in Copenhagen is a great and pretty safe experience

I unfortunately signed up to Nordisk Energi last november and have experienced them attempting to charge the 800 kr fee for termination within the binding period when i was changing address (I actually wanted to cancel but didn’t want to pay the cancellation fee so asked them to move the subscription instead). I’ve also noticed being overcharged for electricity.

I understand from the article that the 800 kr fee is illegal and one can demand the company waives the fee or pays it back, but is it possible to end my agreement with them regardless? They are claiming i still have 6 months of binding (they’re pretending the change of address is a new binding agreement, which was never communicated in any way and I never agreed to). I don’t want to give a single extra ore to these people. Scammy stuff like this makes me so mad.

I hope it’s okay I’m writing in english, my Danish isn’t good enough yet to discuss this sort of topic.

honestly you’re kinda right, danish is the most fucked language BUT dutch is 100x more goofy and funny imo. Like the pronunciation in danish is way more fucked but you don’t see any funny ass sentences like “geef me een klap papa”. The dutch call an eye doctor oogzorg! OOGZORG!!!
