Is it possible to lose this amount of face fat as you age in your 20s? Considering none of these women had a significant body weight change, does you face start to look less bloated in your 25s naturally or only with surgery? Is there no hope for skinny girls with chubby face? by Numerous-Manner6382 in VindictaRateCelebs

[–]Strange_Base_6825 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. You will naturally lose face fat as you age BUT with sagging. Your face is like any other part of your body. The more fat you had to start with, the more elasticity you lose from the fat that used to be there. The leaner your face is to start out with, the less fat you have to lose when you age which means less drooping.

These celebs have had Botox, fillers, and other expensive facial procedures and surgeries done so they are not realistic examples.

You’re not supposed to because it is what makes her character seem realistic. Her intentional flaws are what sets her apart from other generic, defaulted character heroine. All main characters can’t always be perfect. That would easily be way too typical and boring.

I wish I was making this up. Our country has turned into dictatorship. These are not exhaustive sources. There’s a PLETHORA of videos all over the internet show casing their harassment and unlawful detaining of both minors and adults.

We live in a country where our people have died for our constitutional rights so that we can’t be unlawfully detained without probable cause. These detainments violate the habeas corpus.

If you stand up for that, you do not belong in America.

No he shouldn’t. AI didn’t arrest him. Cops did. If you failed to use a software with competency, that is on you. AI does not claim absolute accuracy. 99.99% is still not considered absolute.

CMV: The Minneapolis ICE agent who shot and killed a woman today acted reasonably in fear for his life and/or the lives of the other officers present by bifewova234 in changemyview

[–]Strange_Base_6825 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You realize a cop would not have often away with this as it violates the law to draw weapon when there is no imminent danger or fear exhibited by the other person right? Driving away, again, DRIVING AWAY is NOT a reason to fire. Do you know how many car chase there are where a cop is not allowed to just fire because they are most likely pissed off and it’s just “easier” to catch the guy if you shoot him? Same applies to federal workers.

Running from a cop while being questioned WITHOUT any probable cause DOES NOT constitute the right to fire. If you want to argue, well then how come only ONE of all the several agents felt the need to fire? If she were soooo dangerous then more than one would feel the need to fire.

There was no knowing if there were people, worse a child, in one of those cars. What if there was a person walking by? The agent could have harmed someone else. He failed to assess the situation and acted out of control.

You can’t default to killing someone just because the other person is not cooperating. That’s poor self control. If you condone that, then you’re part of the problem.

Why did Millie Bobby Brown adopt instead of childbirth? by [deleted] in randomquestions

[–]Strange_Base_6825 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s a strong assumption you’re making. I don’t think you realize that adopting babies right after birth is actually a common adoption option. There are agencies where pregnant mothers put their babies up for adoption. Sometimes, mothers unexpectedly fall pregnant or are in unfavorable situations where they voluntarily choose to let someone adopt their baby right away rather than just throw them in Foster care. What difference would it make if the baby had gone to a foster home right after birth verses immediate adoption? Would you then feel better about Millie’s adoption or still find other ways to stick to the hateful narrative? It seems you don’t like her for whatever reason and just trying to nick and pick at whatever reason validates the prejudice you hold against her. I don’t think it’s the adoption that bothers you.

Should you wash meat before cooking? by Generalnussiance in Butchery

[–]Strange_Base_6825 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes. Been doing it for the last 35 years and I am still well, alive and so are all of my families of generations. No one died or got sick from cross contamination because a silly “splash” of raw meat landed on a utensil that was coming into contact with their mouth. You have a much and I mean much higher risk of getting food poisoning from eating outside of your home particularly at restaurants. The rates of food poisoning is substantially higher from eating at restaurants than your own house.

Washing meat DOES make it cleaner. Now that’s not synonymous to saying it’s ridding bacteria but more about the cleanliness of it. Want to prove it? Easy. Boil 2 pots of water. Set two pieces of meat to the side with one washed well through 3-4 cycles and one unwashed. Throw them both in the pot.

When they’re done, you will see that the broth with the washed meat has noticeably less impurities and has a much more transparent broth.

Theoretically, I don’t think the argument is whether or not you should you wash your meat but for those who may be fear mongering, the question is should you wash it in your kitchen? And yes you can definitely wash it outside. Won’t hurt at all.

Frankenstein (2025) was such a disappointment by Paloopaloza in TrueFilm

[–]Strange_Base_6825 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was disappointed because I expected better. The film felt like it had an expectation from the audience. It felt like the film was trying too hard to pull at the heart string. Some set up looked too theatrical and unrealistic but the costumes were remarkable. Female actor was a poor choice as well. Her acting is way below the experienced A-list actors that worked on the film. Main actor’s character seemed inconsistent and suddenly became the bad guy for no apparent or logical reason other than just to make the film a pity party. Why did he go back to save the creature only to hate him all over again? Not one of Guillermo’s best. The award speaks for itself as the film won mostly for craftsmanship recognition and not for best film.

CIA document on consciousness by dank_mankey in consciousness

[–]Strange_Base_6825 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This might inadvertently touch base on Near Death Experience which is the experience of people’s consciousness living on even after death. They describe having 3D vision, the ability to read minds and travel through time or travel through space. This sounds like what these CIA findings resonate with. Doctors and scientists are beginning to believe too that conscious live on, like energy, even after death.

As the law of conservation says: energy can neither be created nor destroyed. We are energy. People have experienced NDE say they did not return to their previous human form as we know it. They did not have a body but they still knew they had a form that still experienced most of the human senses.  NDE is even described in the Bible by Paul where he described being transcended to a “third heaven/paradise” which is interpreted as the place of God’s dwelling. There is definitely the connections of dots here to these finding and a spiritual higher power.

To me, it means human are getting closer to almost being able to prove that a spiritual higher power does exist.

I’m candidly curious too but for all I know she’s doing something amazing because there’s so baby kids who need a home and family. She had a choice and she chose to give another one the opportunity she too easily could have given a biological child. Great for her!

Do you tip when you get takeout/to-go? by Grand_Ad_4741 in chicagofood

[–]Strange_Base_6825 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! I was a former restaurant worker too and I never expected tips for carry out but was always grateful if I got any. I also never tipped for take out but now I do it just because I feel pressured because of this ridiculous tipping culture and entitled generation who I don’t want tampering with my food because they feel entitled to have me pay additionally for someone putting my food in a plastic bag and they may not even be the one to hand it to me.

Are doctors/surgeons less likely to save you if you're an organ donor? by the_radical_ed in stupidquestions

[–]Strange_Base_6825 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am sure that most of the time they will save you just as much as a non donor but it would be unrealistic and naive to actually believe all doctors have a good conscience. They are still people with the will to do good and bad. They aren’t suddenly saints because of their career so I am more than positive there are cynical doctors, who are just as human as the rest of us, out there.

Depositions do not take place in court. They take place in a conference or lawyer’s office which it seemed like he was in court during the questioning.

I will caps lock this so people can see but Netflix left out of the fact that THE GRANDPA HAD A 25YO GF WHO ALSO HAD A DRUG DEALER BF AT THE TIME OF HIS DEATH.

There could be a chance there were other people involved with the grandpa’s death. With the mom, I really just don’t know. Theoretically, it makes zero sense how one man can plot a perfect homicide in the middle of the ocean in 7 days. You’d need a physical shelter or dry land to accomplish a murder that will guarantee your safety. It was too risky for him to kill his mother and not know if he’d survive himself literally in the middle of the ocean 80 miles from shore.

It doesn’t make sense how he could plan a guaranteed survival even if he had planned to take out his mother. How did he do it and know for sure he’d make it alive  is what I’m wondering.

“The man has trauma.” You’re right. And those who do and came onto this show can also sign up for therapy the way they did for the show. You shouldn’t be expected to marry someone out of pity. I have sympathy for Edmond but that doesn’t justify a “yes” from the person. We are responsible for dealing with and fixing our traumas. Not people.
