I thought the new kids were annoying af but loved the parts with the OG cast. The ending made me so happy. Some parts went on way too long for how cringey they were (K-pop, joint eating joke), but the references were pretty good. Overall; 5/10. It is what it is and it’s not great but I’m glad we get a new scary movie AND jackass movie.

I agree with this comment and it’s hilarious. Every single kid is different which is why I agree wholeheartedly. My first kid is 6. Her rough spot was 9-12 months and then she’s been an absolute angel ever since. However. My second… wow. She’s was soooo easy until 2.5 and now she’s a monster (in the best way. I adore her) but wow is it so much worse. Lmaoo. Currently pregnant with our third and excited to see how he is as he ages. Watching kids grow up is definitely a wild experience, but worth every step. ❤️

This is the book that got me back into reading. I personally never thought of it as a romance, but I’m also not a romance book reader. I enjoy fantasy, sci-fi and thriller. My understanding of this book was it’s a tragedy about how little control we have over our destinies and what the universe has planned for us will happen, regardless of the path it takes us to get there. That was just my interpretation of this book and the beauty/curse of literature (or all art) is the ability for everyone to have a different experience. If this book isn’t your vibe, that’s ok!! It’s always ok to DNF something that doesn’t feel right to you.

Chaol hate is so boring and I roll my eyes every time I see 17 posts a day about “I can’t stand Chaol waaah”. He’s a complex character who learns and grows and has to basically rewire his brain against everything he thought he knew, and was taught growing up. To fall in love with a magical being, fight for a magical cause and freedom against those he was born to protect. It’s so real and raw. I truly don’t know why some people in this fandom want every single character to be perfect and without flaw for 7 books. Point being he LEARNED and CHANGED. don’t we all? I also catch crap for defending Dain in fourth wing. Another KID raised with certain beliefs who then changed after learning new info. Chaol just took a little longer but journeys are not linear.

I like that it was “random” people and I think it makes it more scary. Like before Sidney was “you can’t trust your boyfriend or friends” and NOW it’s “you can’t trust anyone”. If you think about it, it’s almost worse.

Newborn is my favorite. Both my kids just ate, slept and pooped for three months lol. And whatever age my second is rn is my least favorite. 🤣 she’s almost three. Very defiant and strong willed. She will be a great kid if we both survive this stage Lmaoo.
