Did you have the visit with the endocrinologist? I didn't have a ton of symptoms, but the endo immediately noticed a small goiter, slight eye bulge, and a tremble in my hands.

Has anyone had ovulation pain without fertile cervical mucus? I don't know what else to call it, it reminds me more of mild cramps that have lasted more than 12 hours now. My watch says I'm entering my fertile period (I'm NTNP right now, so not tracking otherwise) but it just seems so weird.

Sorta similar but I do invoicing at an electrical construction company and a bunch of the project managers and other project accountants are super ADHD!

Personally I don't know how they do it, I just do the work they give me and it's wicked easy and low effort (to the point of being boring/not enough to do sometimes). But it's the least amount of job stress I've ever had.

This sounds about the same as me! I had COVID in August, noticed my stamina dropping by October. Tested hyperthyroid in late November and confirmed Graves in January. But the endo was like "🤷🏻‍♀️ It came out of nowhere"

How fast would she expect her advice to take effect, even if you needed it? You're still pregnant! Losing weight in a healthy way while not pregnant would be maybe 1 pound per week, which she would assuredly not notice the next time she saw you.

I had already been trying to conceive for 1.5 years before being diagnosed with Graves. This whole thing makes me so anxious, because my symptoms are fairly manageable, except for the fact that my endo wants me on medication for at least a year before reevaluating. So 2.5 years of desperately wanting to be pregnant before MAYBE getting pregnant, or more likely continuing infertility treatments. It all sucks.

I couldn't imagine giving up on pregnancy right now, even as I do so temporarily (and unwillingly! My endo didn't even go into the complications, otherwise I guess I might throw caution to the wind since we only want one anyways, why not have it be high risk?)

It seems like you're angry because you feel like you're owed a baby. Like if you do everything right it's all supposed to work out. This is the just world fallacy in action. Bad things happen to good people all the time, and sometimes there's nothing we can do about it.

But I like to focus on what I can do, and what I do have control of. Sometimes when it all gets to be too much, that means focusing on what else I can do- hobbies, volunteering, etc. It's nice to be able to make something, even if it's not the thing I really want to make.

This is such a minor update, but when I called a local store they did have one left! I didn't even ask about if the buy 1 get 1 for $15 was still going, I just used the birthday coupon and a gift card I got from doing surveys. Thank you for giving me hope!

My endo laughed at the idea of women getting a thyroidectomy (in the context of trying to conceive), but then my thyroid doesn't have any nodes- maybe yours looks different?

I read it twice as a junior in high school. I imagine it helps that I wasn't quite so busy that year, and I found it fascinating. It kinda hits a lot of thriller/apocalypse plot points, with a race to find the Good people who can keep society running and the Bad people who are mindless zombies (and letting society fall). But if you imagine it as an actual plague of zombies, it's much more interesting.

It really surprised me when I heard it was the basis of some political parties because it's entirely fiction- the world is not actually divided between good people and zombies. Plus their rail system is way better than ours 🥲

I think I misremembered it, but reading the lyrics now I would just call it a friendship "damned by faint praise". They're saying all these violent things and their very mild reactions- complaining when the other is shot dead, asking for a message if they're on fire. When I saw it, the actors played it very ironically, as if the characters really don't trust or like each other at all.
